observed (semi) interesting stats
Probably no interest to many, but every-now and again I dig into my stats just to feed my curiosity, and it would appear that I have settled very close to the "accepted" drive:recovery ratio without ever consciously trying to. And it doesn't appear to make a difference whether I'm tootling along, or...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
On the flip side - (from the same article) Isn’t it ironic that at low intensities (and long durations, long slow cardio, etc.) you achieve a greater relative percentage of calories used from fat storage vs. higher intensities. BUT higher exercise intensities attained from interval training, metabol...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
<snip> I personally find the BPP steady state too short and BPP does not have enough guidance (for me). Others are different. 1 interval, 2-3 steady and 2x strength would be plenty for many, though I know my coach who sometimes did 3 sessions a day on some days (summer). Sorry I really don't mean t...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Friday was crazy busy got a food shopping trip in early, but still was at work at 9:30am and didn't log off until just past midnight; so no row. Saturday I went for a 45min amble at 9:30 as I needed to get some non-rowing exercise (and before the heat set in) did 45mins weeding in the shade this mor...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
<snip> In warmup I recommend practicing the arms going out first fully and the cycling motion, separating each part of the stroke and then combining the stroke together. You could also slightly pronate your scapula and hang off your fingertips to increase stroke length, IF you have the strength to ...

Re: ErgData and Re-Row
There's a list of recent workouts done on the ergdata app - but it doesn't store everything so only about the last 8 or so. Otherwise there's favourites. but you literally go to the recent/favourits tab, and select it - adjust any parameters as if it was "new" if you wish and send it to the pm5. - o...

Re: Syncing between Ergdata and PM5
I think that explains the behaviour I've seen on ergdata trying to finish a row quickly before end condition - and it has a really odd plot as a result - if it expecting a double "end" but only gets the one from erg data, it misbehaves slightly.

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
decided to break up the single pace monotony today with some under/over 0 rest intervals. didn't care about rate, but 140/200W. HR peaked at 184 in the last fast one - had I programmed in another additional 200W, I'm not sure I'd have got to the end of it. Time Meters Pace Watts Cal/Hr S/M 40:38.6 9...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
Hats off to you, Peter. I can only dream of doing a 15k piece at that rate. With a bit of consistency dreams can become reality - if you enjoy erging at any rate! 29/06/22 10:04 2,013m 2:30.0 <-- my first row that left me a gasping wreck at the end I only row 3x a week typically, but below shows th...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Also, I wanted an excuse to catch what I could of today's stage of the Tour de France. I'm quite surprised how quickly Van der Poel crumbled at the finish, or maybe Poggy just outclassed him. My take on it was just the pace they'd set up the other hills left the tank empty - He said as much in the ...

Re: PM5 ate my workout
I only use ergdata (and ergzone on occasion) for informal tracing - if you are manually using the c2 app and connecting your laptop - then ergdata is so much simpler / lot less effort. (and I reckon more reliable nowadays). If you don' want to see the additional metrics while rowing - setup the work...
