Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
low and slow today - got house full of guests arriving later tonight for the weekend & still have jobs to do before they arrive. Think I managed to work out how I'm going to solve a data issue for a client - one method to read causes one problem with " characters, and the alternate then causes issue...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Short row today as the sweaty weather row caused some chaffing inbetween my cheeks that monday's row exacerbated. (and I've no barrier cream/vaseline in the house - and it's position = not practical to try to cover it) nice -ve split - albeit not intentional when I sat down. Time Meters Pace Watts C...

Re: Newbie here - how does Rowerg work in conjunction to ergdata, logbook and PM5
There's new settings that do indeed keep the session alive now with ergdata. so you do need to "stop" your session one way or another to disconnect - or turn off BTE on the device. I always go: put on HRM, BTE on phone, wake up PM5, open ergdata, (both HRM and ergdata are saved & auto connect) choos...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Decided on a "banker" row towards 1hr - too many HD's, with the sweaty 45min done Friday I reminded myself I can do discomfort. (even if it was much slower) few watts better than target (2:09) - I can def feel when my energy starts to drop - 20mins is absolutely no issue at all, and then it starts t...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
https://log.concept2.com/profile/2501432/log/103400587 7094m 30R20, 2:06.8 which is not a lot of progress. But still some progress. And I did this in weather 10*C hotter and a bit more humid. A lot of the effort is probably being misplaced though… now that I admit 200m is good progress in a few mon...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
disgustingly sweaty 10k done today - just went where pace/rate settled - at 26.4c in my office/erg room 2x fans on full blow did nothing to stop me melting away. left leg was threatening to start to cramp a bit as well at the end - makes a change from it being my right leg typically/previously. Time...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
I'm with Ian on this one - I see very little value for you to do the 500's rate capped to 20; the 750 while a slight shorter total distance is "harder" with the extra 250m per interval. Have you done another 30r20 or 30min unrestricted to see where all this training has left you? Because I know I've...

Re: The Lunch Hour 2k Pete plan (following on the BPP plan).
This is a new one for me. With the heat, I did not know how to pace, even though I had in mind my time on 500, 750 and 1000m intervals. I can learn a few things from it, particularly that I am close to my maximum Watt output with 330 W (1:42). I do not think I can produce so many Watts to go under ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
the loss of any pet is tough - as is the loss of a loved one; whether it's a sudden unexpected loss or a gradual decline also can have impacts - as can whether one has been through it before or not. And there's def no right/wrong way to feel - maybe some wrong ways to process, but sometimes even the...

Re: Critique my stroke / rate question
Only thing I'd add is for the back arch aspect it looks like you're sat on the back of your tail bone, not forward on your sit bones which will put more stress on the lumbar area and cause your back to tend to towards a curve. (because to keep it straight you're fighting your pelvis alignment) You m...

Re: How to improve watts/distance and stay within heart rate......
Going to just pick up your comment about bent arms and knees. You're better doing "half slide" EG not going as far forward at the catch and driving out with less stress on the knees that way. you can rate up a lot at half slide to make up for the shorter stroke length - I've played around and got my...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Wasn't sure what to expect today, put in 7500m, but Hr read 60 when setting it up, and I stupidly changed it to 1hr... Hr back to where I'd expect it, but perceived bodily function resulted in a stoppage, turned out after I hit stop it was just wind.... Time Meters Pace Watts Cal/Hr S/M 24:01.6 5,59...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
<snip> As a side note I feel the BPP’s SS is too short, and that there is too little guidance. I also feel as if it was a bit “bare bones” and there should be some versions for 30r20 or 5k. As my coach said I should do UT2 for minimum 1 hour. Don't forget that increasing volume even at a lower pace...

Re: PM3 Accuracy?
not sure if the pm3 displays the force curve, but if yes what's the shape of yours with each stroke? It won't have a high amplitude but c2 link it should be along the lines found here. If you've got a very shallow start and steeper at the end, you're pulling (arms) not pushing (legs/back) & it is a ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
decided to let my Hr run a bit today, and use RPE as the guide - hit 28mins and stitch was building and was panting so called it with HR nudging just over 180 - bit above target pace but it felt doable (until it kinda wasn't I guess) Time Meters Pace Watts Cal/Hr S/M 30:01.6 7,005 2:08.5 165 866 24 ...
