Thank you again for your advice and help. Earlier this month I picked up a pre-owned Zephyr as my first shell and am having a blast with it. If all goes as planned, next summer I'll be back on this forum asking for advice and recommendations on a racing shell that will accommodate someone my size.

Yes, thanks. I have been following that FB group along with Row2k and Adirondack, as well as scanning Craigslist nationwide. A number of the manufacturers on their websites list pre-owned boats for sale. Something will eventually turn up.

PaulG, thank you. I've visited back and forth with Mr. Milde, really good guy. He believes a Zephyr will work for a guy my height and size. If you are considerably taller, then perhaps you'll have to modify your stroke to match your shorter crewmates. Maybe the coach can adjust the rigging or oar length to help.
