Thank you again for your advice and help. Earlier this month I picked up a pre-owned Zephyr as my first shell and am having a blast with it. If all goes as planned, next summer I'll be back on this forum asking for advice and recommendations on a racing shell that will accommodate someone my size.

Yes, thanks. I have been following that FB group along with Row2k and Adirondack, as well as scanning Craigslist nationwide. A number of the manufacturers on their websites list pre-owned boats for sale. Something will eventually turn up.

PaulG, thank you. I've visited back and forth with Mr. Milde, really good guy. He believes a Zephyr will work for a guy my height and size.
