Re: ERG Weight Changes
Do you have erg data reading/writing data from Apple Health? If so, maybe there is something weirdly updating your weight in Apple Health. If so, you can turn off the reading of weight from Apple Health (go into apple health, click on your name, then look under apps).

Re: ergdata and apple watch
Optical heartbeat sensors such as those in fitness watches are, by all accounts, notoriously inaccurate. The chest strap is the way to go. Not true. The Apple Watch is surprisingly accurate under all sorts of conditions. Maybe the first Gen optical sensors weren’t great, but they have come a long w...

Re: Step up on Tuesday
Argh, I did a long row of over 10k today. I just realized that the row needs to be exactly 5k or 10k to count. They should count any row over 5k and 10k today to contribute toward the charity. Maybe I'll bite the bullet and do an exact 5k.

Re: ergdata and apple watch
I tried multiple ways to get heartbeat data from the Apple Watch integrate with the concept2 logbook. Ultimately I came to the conclusion that that would happen only when ErgData supports an Apple Watch app. Till then, I use Polar h10 chest monitor connected to Apple Watch and pm5 via Bluetooth. Erg...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Newbie gains here. Decided to go for a "hard" 5k while maintaining a lower stroke rate, and realized mid way that I could easily beat my old 5k PB. Ended up beating the old PB by 33 seconds and I wasn't even going all out. Shows the power of a few weeks of long slow training. Still really slow compa...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Did a SS 40 min session @2:25 pace and 140bpm, which is UT2 range for me (don't judge, newbie and slow). Got bored at the 40 min mark and stopped. Now regretting not going for an hour since I have read that 40 mins isn't going to help that much at UT2. Oh well - maybe I'll find a short break between...

Re: Rowing at very low drag factor
Quick question for anybody. How do you capture your C2 log graph and display it directly on the page. I've wanted to do that a couple times but couldn't work it out. The way I did it was to take a screenshot from the online logbook, save it as an image. Then upload that image to an image sharing we...

Re: Rowing at very low drag factor
Just looking to your workout graph, I find the heart rate curve quite strange and suspicious of error. 1) At the start the HR is about 130 bpm, which is quite high without prior exercise. It is even high after a possible warm-up. 2) Between 0-70 sec, at a pace between 2:07 and 2:10, your HR increas...

Re: Rowing at very low drag factor
Thanks, I do have a ways to go to find my right training bands. Tried to do a Max Heart Rate test today after I finally bought a chest strap. Results were very surprising. My max Heart rate seems to be at least 200 (The heart rate graph was still climbing at 200 but I broke the interval off). This i...

Rowing at very low drag factor
Newbie here. I have been doing steady state sessions at about 140bpm heart rate and 18-20 strokes/min. I have been rowing with a drag factor of 115ish. I accidentally did a row today at a drag factor of 100. To my surprise I was able to hold splits that were 5 seconds faster at the same stroke rate ...

Re: Beginner: Best use of 4 hours
Thats interesting - I thought I read that you need to build up your aerobic base with longer low intensity workouts. IMO you would be better off doing 3 10Ks per week at a higher intensity or pace than the 1 hour UT2 pace. Rowing for 1 hour at low intensity makes you good at rowing for an hour at lo...

Beginner: Best use of 4 hours
First time poster - have been rowing for 3 months now and am looking for feedback on this plan. Stats - 46 M, 5' 7'', 163lbs, in moderate/poor physical shape. 3 month Goal: lose 5 lbs, sub 8 min 2k, (currently pb is 8:13) and sub 21 min 5k (currently pb is 22:08). I have about 4 hours a week to trai...
