Re: Rowing with 1 arm
Hope OP is all healed up and going full speed, however, I will have to try something like this. 2 weeks in a cast and I feel disgusted with myself. Dilemma I am having is that I must keep inside dry, which is impossible for me when doing any physical activity, especially in the summer. Even mowing h...

Re: Muscle strain and rowing
Dutch hit it on the head, it is elbow area, right arm. I'll give it another day and do yardwork instead.

Muscle strain and rowing
I developed what seems to be a muscle strain last week. Hurts when I extend or fold my arm or rotate it. I took a break from rowing for a few days, however, I can feel pounds are stocking up and miss the workout. Thinking of putting a compression sleeve and fight through it, thoughts?

Re: Model C PM3 Broken Battery Contact
I would stick with the foil. The C2 has a generator that will power the PM3 while you're rowing. Since you're handy with soldering, you could also solder in a springy piece of metal -- maybe something cannabalized from another battery holder? break apart an old battery operated toy or remote and th...

Thanks for the replies. I may be being daft, but the following links make it sound possible and straightforward: https://shop-uk.concept2.com/performance-monitors/338-pm5-monitor.html#/95-pm5_replacement_or_retrofit-model_e_with_device_holder (using part 2565) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmLc3p...

Re: Model E upgrade PM4 to PM5
Older Model E has a fixed metal arm that you cannot replace with current plastic arm that includes a device holder. If you could somehow mount the new plastic arm on top of the fixed Model E arm, it might be a bit too tall, where your tablet may be at eye level, but the monitor would be too high. Th...

Re: Syncing PM5 to ErgData
That's what I ended up doing, but it's somewhat cumbersome, having to dig out the right cable in my old junk cable drawer and hauling my laptop downstairs, when Bluetooth technology is available. Just can't believe there isn't an easier way.
I guess I can try the thumbdrive method next.

Syncing PM5 to ErgData
So I am not very technologically involved when it comes to rowing, however, I still would like to review my data once in a while, so I downloaded ErgData, connected my Android phone via Bluetooth and hit sync. 0 workouts were retrieved, although, PM5 has a list of my daily workouts for the past mont...

Re: Is this a good deal for a rower?
Just for giggles I searched fb and someone just posted a model e pm5 for $350 in Maine. Someone's messenger is about to crash. ![🤪](//twemoji.maxcdn.com/2/svg/1f92a.svg)

Re: Is this a good deal for a rower?
What boggles my mind is how many sellers are trying to get well over list price for rowers. That makes no sense at all. Can you even buy a new one right now ? I think there has been a waiting list over here for an Erg for over a year. I see the RowErgs are finally back in stock but there is still a...
Re: New rower
That looks fun, but I don't have any friends that into rowing and wife only tried it once, so it goes back to marketplace to recover some of the costs.
Re: New rower
Welp, rather than buying a pm5 and replacing a few wear parts I ended up ordering an entire new RowErg. ![🤭](//twemoji.maxcdn.com/2/svg/1f92d.svg)
Re: New rower
Currently I don't have pm5, however looking into getting one, especially if our health insurance covers it as a fitness equipment or health monitoring device. However, I really just wanted to erg to lose some weight without making it complicated.
