Older Model E has a fixed metal arm that you cannot replace with current plastic arm that includes a device holder. That's what I ended up doing, but it's somewhat cumbersome, having to dig out the right cable in my old junk cable drawer and hauling my laptop downstairs, when Bluetooth technology is available. Just can't believe there isn't an easier way.

Welp, rather than buying a pm5 and replacing a few wear parts I ended up ordering an entire new RowErg.

Currently I don't have pm5, however looking into getting one, especially if our health insurance covers it as a fitness equipment or health monitoring device. However, I really just wanted to erg to lose some weight without making it complicated.
