Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Long time no see - low rate HM after a very demanding gym session yesterday. Again no targets and semi-blind only looking at remaining meters, stroke rate and HR. Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
My slow but continuous progression plan is still working and I am finally doing some rows I feel better about and also my mental state seems a bit better. Nothing amazing or approaching my best but many interval sessions within 2 seconds/split of my best for that session and other random rows or pa...

Re: rower wanna be
So there are more People from Germany here? I think not so much, but some :) Stamina is the good translation for condition in German, yes that’s Prio 1 for now. Do you recommend special training for this? MPx already gave a link to Pete Plans, which can be used to build exactly that. Mainly mixing ...

Re: back to training on the erg
my meds are elevated but not excessively so weight loss will help with that. i have no issues like diabetes and my cholestoral is mildly elevated. Again, no doctor, no medical advice coming. Being overweight and taking meds is clearly showing there are issues. Both is not the natural physical state...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Overmotivated = stupid decisions  Without stupid decisions you don't fully appreciate the good decisions Haha, that's really true! Certainly a tough session which can sneak up and kick you about. So probably not the day for it but no doubt it will get smashed next time. I hope so. Probably som...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Absolutely garbage session. The complete day my body told me not to try, but I did. Roughly 2k warmup, felt not too bad. Started the TOC, 1,2,3,4,5min 1min rest, plan was to go 1:35/37/39 and then see what's coming up. The 2min already felt so hard and during the 3min I gave totally up, as my mind ...

Re: back to training on the erg
Not a doctor here, but probably you should drop some kilos and work on your muscle strength to support your spine better. Rowing will support this for sure, but more intense strength training will typically have much more benefit (and weight loss will exponentially help with it).

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Did my first Full Marathon today, was aiming for under the 3 hour mark so paced for that. Resting heart rate was a bit higher than normal due to remnants of a cold so tried to keep HR in check. The most difficult bit was eating & drinking without losing to much time :) Got a time of 2:59:32 so pret...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Needed something easy for my back, as the last days/weeks were a bit stressing my body. Pulled the lever down (DF 98 reported in the log) and flipped the monitor to the back for a blind row. Soon I realized it wouldn't get an easy session, as I started faster than expected, I felt sweat building up....
