Re: Recovering from sickness!?
Recovery Timeframe Rule of thumb, for every day out take 2 days at reduced load to get back to your prior training. As a former athlete, our friendly team doctor always used a one-on-one ratio after you are truly recovered. But that was downhill skiing where races are shorter than two minutes. It c...

Re: New (March 2024?) PM5 with USB-C no USB-A or USB-B
On a Garmin Epix it does. unfortunately, Garmin isn't too clear what a watch will and will not record from an activity, even if it seems to support the activity some watches seem to skip certain fields.

Re: Programming Language for App
I'm studying computer science and I'd like to make an app for Concept2 ergs as a project. What language is Ergdata, Ergzone etc. written in? Is there a recommended approach? As they are Android and iPhone apps, I'd suggest looking at their native platforms, or something that is crossplatform, like ...

Re: BicepTendonitis from Rowing
Also look hard at form. Most likely your form is good, however many rowers use arms too soon. Good advice, just one thing to add: don't deathgrip the handle as it creates a lot of strain in the upper body while accomplishing nothing. As Tsnor said, don't break the ellbows too soon, and keep the arm...

Re: Split Handles
You'll be wanting the brass swivel bush on the other side of that D shackle pin. I think there is no need for the brass swivel bush in this setup at all. Mainly it shall prevent a wear and tear due to the U-shape of the handle connector and the handle movements, but in this setup it is a straight b...

I use the EXR app on a tablet to keep me occupied, but I don't know if the skillrow is compatible.PleaseLockIn wrote: ↑November 7th, 2024, 2:11 amAny help with mental discipline? Do you have any music to suggest for these long rows? It's not physically very demanding - but it does train my mental discipline. And that is most important.

Re: Only having the Technogym Skillrow - any advice? Any training advice for me?
If the SkillRow shows Watts, an ISO standard unit, it has to be accurate. Sorry, as someone who has adapted OpenRowingMonitor to dozens of types of machines I can tell this expectation/statement is completely unrealistic. Even the C2 PM5 has significant accuracy issues, as University of Ulm's repor...

Re: Only having the Technogym Skillrow - any advice? Any training advice for me?
I am a casual, novice college rower who started this year. Unfortunately, in my university's fitness room there is no Concept 2 rower - only a Technogym Skillrow (well yes there is one in another fitness room in the university but the manager said we can't read the screen for it). How would I try t...

Re: Father Time?
I recently did a martial arts class over a 4mnth period for 1hr a week and it turned into a fortnight after 2mnths then on the 3rd month I could not be bothered as cycle and rowing training was suffering, recovery was hard. But in my 20s I was heavily into kickboxing and did 3 lessons a week but ha...

Re: StrengthERG suggestions to make it #1 strength machine
Major 1 I understand that some people have highlighted this, including some rowing influencers. But I would like to emphasize and highlight that this is essential for building and maintaining strength and muscle mass, particularly for athletes, aging and clinical populations. To keep it short, ecce...
