On closer inspection it is missing a couple of bolts, which I have to source as they are all imperial.
The Concept2 shop has their American threaded bolts.

(Other shops for other countries exist.)

Re: Logging Just Row Sessions?

If you press [BACK] or tap the "I've finished" pop-up on Ergdata then you are guaranteed to get the row recorded. It's not difficult to get in a habit of doing that if you value the data from your "Just Row" workout. The better habit to get into is programming the PM5 for a set distance or set time ...

Re: Increase Bluetooth notification rate

I did move my rowing machine from the building services room to another room. That's it. As soon as I moved the machine, the data rate increased. I have no clue why that is, but it works now and I am glad. Bluetooth Low Energy is on the 2.4GHz Industrial/Scientific/Medical (ISM) band which is a cro...

Re: Logging Just Row Sessions?

For any "Just Row" workout you MUST press the [MENU] (or menu|back on PM4)button when you're done.

The HR strap wasn't registering / paired with the PM5 on the second row.

Re: Logbook - HR columm&total sometimes there sometimes not ?

The splits are unrelated to the graphing.

The split is the instantaneous reading at the point in time when the split time or split distance is reached.

That's how the PM2/PM3/PM4 & PM5 have always worked. It's not an ideal design, but it's not going to change.

Re: Stain of rust on railway

Use a simple household cleaner like Windex. The rail is stainless steel, if you're seeing rust that may be from your excessive use of industrial cleaners on the top of the monorail getting under the stainless steel track.

Re: uploading data automatically to logbook on pc

The only options with a laptop are a USB stick or a USB-A to USB-B printer cable and the very low featured C2 Utility. You get less than 1% of the data from a workout with the utility that you get with Ergdata on a phone or tablet. At the start of the third decade in the 21st century it really isn't...

It would be good to rule out all of the "failed bearing" "rubbing flywheel" "rubbing chain" type of problems as well as focus on damper.
No, it wouldn't because those things just don't happen during normal home use.

Re: PM2 with likely battery acid damage

The battery leakage has destroyed a whole bunch of tracks on the PCB. Toss it in the dead electronics bin. Buy a new PM5.

Re: advice needed for first indoor rowing competition

Is there any utility in doing a trial run? (I was due to do another comp last week but I injured myself). If so, how far out is the latest I should try? If you have a PM4 or PM5 you can practice the start sequence. When you do a workout you start rowing, the PM4/PM5 notices that the handle is movin...

Re: Harder to row

Stop using the damper lever as an indicator. Get the PM5 to show you the drag factor.

If you clean the crud out of the fan cage then the drag will increase because more air goes through the fan.

Re: Using Rerow with the PM5

Did you used a LogCard with your old PM3?
If yes, then use a USB stick with your PM5 and it will work exactly the same.
