Re: Tennis elbow and resuming activity

I'm sorry, but I don't think this is helping the topicstarter. May I suggest we (you) take the discussion about rigid or split handles elsewhere and try to help TS with the questions he's having? Ontopic: I think I have a tenniselbow as well (or at least some very irritated tendons). Had it since la...

Re: ErgData APK For Android without Play Store

I have good experiences with apkmirror (for other apps that I need to sideload).
Pretty reliable site (although sometimes a bit unclear). Your miles may vary

Re: Aparte gebruikers maken

Volgens mij niet. Maar je kan toch allemaal met je eigen telefoon ErgData gebruiken?
Dan kan je je eigen trainingen doen en hij synchroniseert alles met je eigen (online) logboek.

Re: One O'Clock Position

I have similar problems, gut too big, can't reach as far as I could have if I would have been in good shape  I can't separate my knees for two reasons. Firstly my legs are too long, my legs/knees are between my arms at the catch and secondly my hips suck (hypermobile) so that would hurt. An...

I find I pull some poor strokes and see the difference by change in split so I can monitor my performance real time.
Haha so true!
Regularly when I'm getting tired I suddenly remind myself: Sit up straight old man!
And without any extra effort the time/500m drops by a few seconds

Re: Analyze and improve my form

First of all: I'm probably worse
What the app didn't mention is your hands being a bit too low at the catch. If you raise them a bit higher you might get a better connection.
I think you're about 5-10 cm too low, I can't see it very well (that's 2-4 inches in weird units  )

Re: Lower back pain.

I had lower back pains a couple of years ago and I believe it was because of my rowing "technique". It got to a point where I had trouble walking a couple of hundred meters. I thought it was just due to my lenght (1m98), I've had back problems all my life. I quit rowing for a while (because it hurt)...

Re: afzet benen

Re: What is causing this clicking noise?

I always cover the mesh (and flywheel and chain) with an old bedsheet when I'm done using the rower.
I think it keeps out a lot of dust from the flywheel/mesh and the chain.

Re: Noob question - what shoes do you wear to erg?

When I started i didn't have any "training" shoes so I started in socks only. I've gotten used to it and don't think I'll ever get shoes now for the rower. Also I have pretty large feet (size 48, that's about 13.5 in US size?) so shoes are always very bulky and I think they will hinder me more than ...

Re: Quad pain at the end of a 2k

Just a (maybe) silly thought... But... Have you grown lately? When I was 17 I wasn't at my final length yet so it might be possible. I can imagine your bones getting longer and your muscles having to keep up with that and are effectively relatively shorter after a growth spurt. I'm no doctor (far fr...

Re: 2 hernias, is rowing still a safe bet for me?

My wife recently had a hernia and the doctor said she could do anything she wanted to as long as it didn't hurt too much.
So you're probably good, but always check these things with your own doctor(!). Good luck.

Re: New Model D Seat Doesn't Auto-glide Down the Monorail

Wait, the seat is supposed to roll back forwards on it's own?
I don't think mine has ever done that (bought feb 2022)

I'm getting my level out in the weekend
