Re: Endurance erging - A place to discuss 42, 50, 100k upwards.
I broke the C2 American women's marathon record on Sunday with a time of 2:49:38.0. A "normal" training week going into this looked something like this: S - Long row, 28k-35k, typically more on the 35k end. M - Speed intervals, such as 8x500/3:30r or 4x1000/5:00r. 20 minute warm-up, 10-20 minute co...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
A piddly PB compared to some of the flyers around here but I'm pretty proud of this one: I'm in the middle weeks of the beginners Pete plan where you repeat the 10k row several times. I originally was doing them at SS pace but set a goal to meet or beat the 25th percentile of ranked workouts in the...

Modest 10K PB: 38:24.6.
Shaved 14 seconds off last PB. Didn't start off as a PB attempt, just kind of snowballed (in a good way).

Re: Gloves & Dupuytren's
Hi all, Last month I had an operation for Dupuytren's contracture. I am keen to get on the rower. However due to the fact they say hand trauma might be a contributing cause. I am wondering if I start wearing gloves from now on. Does anybody have any recommendations for decent gloves? minimal and go...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Finally something to post here, 3m+ PB on my HM time: 1:26:16. I've lost a fair bit of weight since my last attempt, I can definitely say this felt easier than last time. HR about 70% for the whole distance, was never out of breath. Well done. HMs are all about building confidence so it looks likel...

Re: Enthusiastic Amateurs Team - anyone welcome to join us
Hi all, I've just joined.
I can commit at least 10K per day, potentially more between 19/09 and 02/10 as I'm on holiday.
Good luck to all who are taking part.

Re: 2022/23 Season Goals
i need to stop faffing around at the moment and get back on the erg for significant time periods. and my only real goals would be minimum of 1 mill meters for the season. preferably 1.5 to 2 sub 7 2k (this is going to be very difficult) do a half and a full marathon. and lose 23kg im down 12kg so f...

Re: 2022/23 Season Goals
Well, three months in and I've achieved absolutely nothing, in terms of the stated rowing targets. However: Plenty more Ks under my belt though, suppose that might count for something - 600K+ so far. On course for 2M by the end of the 22/23 season A few less kgs around my waist - have lost about 8kg...

Re: New Version of ErgData
Well, I tried it for today's session and I like it.
Everything has saved on the Concept 2 log as described and I was able to watch my YouTube video for the whole session.
Very clean aesthetic and looks like it has lots of "community" options if that floats your boat.

Re: New Version of ErgData
Scouse, if I switch to ErgZone will I retain the data I have already accrued in ErgDat? Are there any downsides to ErgZone? All Ergdata is giving you is your logbook, so you'll lose that from Ergzone, although it does automatically log and verify all of your sessions to your logbook. When you start...

Re: New Version of ErgData
To resolve it, I switched to ErgZone. When using ErgZone, everything keeps working, even with Youtube, netflix or EXR in the foreground. In mobile apps, it is part of the application design to prevent a total application freeze when it is put aside (you have to create a background process for the d...

Re: 2022/23 Season Goals
FM completed today, eventually. Full notes recorded on Strava but my main goal was simply to complete the distance. Previous furthest distance was HM. I didn't push enough to come close to "the wall", but I think a 30K practice run would have benefited me. The discomfort of the bare seat and the pre...
