Online queries about C2 rowerg vs magnetic rowers - a fair few lately is there a consensus on this?
I have seen a fair fewe online queries about C2 rowerg vs magnetic rowers lately is there a consensus on the differences between them and any advantages of C2 rowerg? IMHO I think the C2 rowerg is significantly better but I have seen questions asking about resistance training on C2 after doing it on...

New to Rowerg - easy way to set up workouts?
I got a Rowerg in Covid lockdown (UK based) or just after due to the long lead times to get one. I then could not use it for several months due to an injury (broken bone). SO I kind of didn't get into using it when it was new and my interest was up. More recently I have become sedentary so out comes...

Re: Rowerg use by children?
I'm thinking about controlling the amount he uses it so he doesn't overtrain. I have read in the past that other fitness activities you have to put limits on them due to strain on growing bodies. I just wondered if there's limits on rowing when growing like at 11yo. Any sources of advice or informat...

Rowerg use by children?
My son has asked for our rowerg to be brought out of storage so he can use it to get fitter. He's 11.5 years old so I'm not sure how much to let him do. He went on it and straight into a 2k. The next day he v did half that, then on it for various short bursts over the next few days. Then he complain...

Re: Basic rowing plan - not proper training!
Fit enough is about exercise for health. I believe that's 150 minutes of exercise a week spread evenly over 4 or 5 days, or 75 minutes of vigorous exercise which the rowerg is. That's according to nhs guidance. That's cumulative so I guess with other activities I do a 2k would possibly make my activ...

Re: Basic rowing plan - not proper training!
My 2k was 8 minutes consistently when i first got my rower about 1.5 years ago i think. I got it out after a break and after a few hard, physical days at work and I had a bad 12 minutes. I put that down to overwork but perhaps that's just how bad my fitness got after a break from any decent exercise.

Basic rowing plan - not proper training!
I'm not a rower but I cycle a bit, walk and currently do very little proper exercise of late. So I'm looking at using my rower c2 D with pm5 to get and keep a modest fitness. No big rows or targeting a high fitness level. So are there any starter rowing plans that don't seem to be based on getting y...

Moving a rower around - will it damage it?
My c2 rower gets intermittent use and my partner keeps taking it into the garage when I don't n use it for awhile. The garage is outside and down outside steps to get into the garage underneath the house. I wonder if constant moving is damaging if? Last time I used it I got a fault message about the...

Re: Fractured elbow. Recovery.
I got my rower and a new Brompton for my commute at about the same time. I used my rower for a couple of short rows to get into it. Then a week after starting to commute on my Brompton I hit a pothole and on landing I broke my arm at the joint, just below the elbow. Bones were aligned so I wore my a...

Recovery after exercise?
I'm easing myself into using my rowerg to get my fitness back. And this week I rowed two days consecutively. I'm probably at a low level and rowing isn't an exercise I have much experience of. I'm not doing a long row in time or distance but I feel it in my calves more than anything. I'm obviously t...

Re: Row erg stats and starting out, where would you expect me to be?
Years ago when I had a cardiosport HRM I got to my theoretical maximum HR when cycling according to the basic age formula. With it being cycling then I'm guessing running max is going to be slightly higher. In the gym about 15 years ago I used to do a fitness test on the treadmill known as the Rockp...

Re: Row erg stats and starting out, where would you expect me to be?
Typing on a phone meant I've typed 1 when I my needed 2 a few times and vice versa. And I've not even got fat fingers was an excuse!!! I know it's the build technique phase but I'm a data fiend, always like to study data. BTW how does rowing stats compare with other sports? I know that generally spe...

Re: Row erg stats and starting out, where would you expect me to be?
I used to back check hr readings with RPE or rate of perceived exertion. The one time I gave running a go I used to check exertion by singing under my breath a clash song. In nighttime runs in January/February so I never met anyone to think I was mad!! I've been looking at my Garmin connect records ...

Re: Row erg stats and starting out, where would you expect me to be?
... and a 2k test last night. That last one was 9 minutes and 3 seconds....Average pace was 1:15.7/500m. My HR was consistent at about 89bpm throughout but did get to 93. ..." Interesting numbers. How are you measuring your heart rate? If you were flat out on the 2K 93 is a very low max HR unless y...

Row erg stats and starting out, where would you expect me to be?
This might be the wrong question but before I know how to set goals I figure I need to know where I am and just how positive or negative my stats are. I've done three rows on my new erg, of which only two got recorded. Actually 4 with 3 recorded if which one was A5 minute row to test if I was ready ...
