Re: ErgData intermittently failing to record to Garmin Connect
Dave: Yes, I probably should have my head examined, but that will be the subject of a different thread! Actually, I am in the home stretch of the 2023-24 season and I am trying to beat last year's total meters. Anyway, this morning I did 5 workouts, four 1KM and one 2KM. The first four recorded prop...

Re: ErgData intermittently failing to record to Garmin Connect
Update. New day, same results. Did six 1,000M workouts. The first 5 recorded as expected in both ErgData and Garmin Connect. The 6th workout failed to record in Garmin Connect.

ErgData intermittently failing to record to Garmin Connect
I have been having this very strange behavior for the past few months. Today's workouts provide a classic case. I did 1,000M on the rowing machine, saved it, confirmed that it was saved in the C2 Log. Then checked Garmin Connect and confirmed that it was properly recorded there, too. Then I did anot...

Re: "Workout failed to save"
Just started getting this myself on March 30. Multiple workouts failed to save and can't find a solution.
I am at firmware version 215. Wondering if there is an update that might address this.

Re: Restoration advice for Concept II Model D with PM3
Not sure if you got this solved, but I thought I would add a suggestion. From your description, it does not sound like a problem with the PM3. I had the same issue with my rebuild (rebuilt a 1996 Model C) and it turned out to be a problem with the bearing and axle assembly. The distance between the ...

Re: Strange Monitor Behavior After Refurb
Carl: Thanks for the reply. The PM5 is new with the latest firmware, so that was not the issue. Still can't fully explain exactly what the problem was, but after discussing the issue with tech support (Josh) there was some thought that it might be the old magnets. Josh offered to send new magnets, b...

Re: Strange Monitor Behavior After Refurb
Just an update FWIW. I took out the new chain axle/sprocket and reinstalled it (a couple of times). No joy. So, I reinstalled the old chain axle/sprocket and everything works fine. The tolerances between the sensor pickup and the flywheel magnets seem to be VERY critical. Grossly, there is no observ...

Strange Monitor Behavior After Refurb
Just finished doing a major overhaul of my Model C with PM5 monitor, chain, cord, chain axle sprocket replacement kit. After getting everything together, I had some trouble getting the sensor pickup to work, so I replaced that too. At this point, everything seems to be working mechanically, but the ...
