Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

Not a PB, per se, but I topped 4 million meters today! Onward to the free long sleeve t-shirt! :D

Re: My experience with a few seats on a RowErg

No huge complaints about the C2 seat; it’s functional and people row millions of meters on it every year. That doesn’t mean there aren’t better individual fits out there, as the OP certainly found. I have used the EndureRow seat for quite a while now, and it “fits” me fine. My wife just drops the Va...

Re: Legs applying equal pressure during drive mode

If you find your heel is lifting too much for your foot not to be flat against the foot plate during almost all of your drive, your foot stretcher might be adjusted too low. This will cause your heel to rise early, and all your drive to come from the balls of your feet which robs power from the stro...

Re: Garmin HRM-Dual and PM4

Just a thought, but if you’re using ErgData you might be able to connect your HRM there and track your workout and HR that way.

Re: New (Old) rower

Congrats @jhweigel , you and your wife are doing great. My wife and I are in our 60s and took up rowing about 2 years ago. It’s great for cardio, strength, and overall fitness work so you’re definitely on the right track! I also rowed with Shane’s videos almost exclusively when I started, and give h...

Re: Garmin HRM not pairing with PM5

Glad you got it sorted. My wife’s Garmin Dual HRM started acting odd like that, and a new battery fixed it. I read somewhere battery changes were difficult with the Garmins, but I did hers and mine in just a few minutes.

Re: Good experience using the EndureRow seat!

I thought I'd also weigh in on this topic. I had a model B and loved the seat; however I did experience some fatigue on long rows. When I purchased a model D in 2004, it came with a black seat of a different shape. I was selling my model B, but I had a chance to compare the two seat designs. I was ...

Re: Asking for advice: replacing my model C or not

If you’ve got the cash, and you want one, there’s no downside to getting a new Model D (now just Rowerg). It’s a great machine with proven long term durability. At its reasonable cost, I can’t imagine you not getting more than your money’s worth from it. Besides, kicking a little support C2’s way ke...

Re: New App- How to log "just Row" workout in logbook??

I also use the menu in the upper left corner of the active workout screen for “Just Row” sessions, selecting one of the “Save and…” options from the screen. It will save the workout to your phone, and sync with your logbook whenever you go back to view this (or any other) workout. The new app has a ...

Re: using rowing machine?

It is a great tool for fitness training. Unlike many devices, it is often used in rehabbing after injury because it is so low impact and so is much less likely to cause injury itself. The level of work it gives you is dependent on the intensity level of your input effort, so it is easily scalable pe...

Re: Fresh fish searching for help!!!

OH!!I wish i can also watch some video while rowing,I feel a little bored now~~but it seems like ergzone don't allow this?? Depending on your situation, maybe an iPad and some AirPods? It’s really helpful to me. For my amateur uses, about the only time I’m not watching something during a row is whe...

Re: Fresh fish searching for help!!!

A fitness instructor at the FBI National Academy told us “if you’re doing any type of exercise, it’s better than doing none. It’s benefitting your health.” His point was to not get too focused on goals, number of reps, number of workouts… just pick a thing to do and start! It’s most important that y...

Re: Carotid Artery Dissection

My brother had a similar dissection of the descending artery from his heart and received very similar medical instruction. He considered himself fortunate to have survived this event, a condition no one in my family had even heard of prior to his hospitalization. He followed the doctor’s instruction...
