Re: Forum Flyers

Posted a CTC score and used the figures to update nonathlon. Will do a real 500 and 1K soon. Might do another 2k as well since I had a 7:40.5 at 20spm which is nearly my 2K PR last year.

Re: Forum Flyers

https://www.nonathlon.com/ranking.php Added my scores and created the Forum Flyers Team, so if you are on there and I dont recognise your name let me now and I'll add it. Always find this site quite good for motivation. I see there is a Macroth/Rick/Meerkats log jam!! Just registered for this as "w...

Re: Forum Flyers

Nice one! Well done Rich. Hmmm... 10 seconds for me to find... I'm concentrating on my running this month so won't be able to have another go at the CTC... probably :? Yeah, you can get me unless running takes priority. I've been cycling and golf. Can't get into CTC page either, but did just notice...

Well done Rich. How much did you beat me by? You must have gone so fast that you broke the website as I can't get onto the CTC site now :D
Finished with a 37:56.1.
First goal was to get you, 2nd goal to break 38minutes. So all goals met. Thanks!

[Edited] Richard, I just spotted that I took 20 seconds off your time. I wasn't aiming for that but I reckon you could claw back that small amount if you have another go. :)
Perfect target. Thanks!

Re: Forum Flyers

Did a simple 3800m for Juneteenth.
Tomorrow might redo June challenge and add enough before and after to get the 21000m solstice day challenge.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Re: Forum Flyers

First attempt at the June 9654m - last mile first 600m wasnt paying attention and thought I'd put in 1309m instead of 1609....so i stopped for a bit to try to do math in my head. Well that didn't go well with the heat and lack of oxygen, so then i pushed on but had already lost time and motivation. ...

The kids seem game for a go this weekend as well. there is a lg jam atthe 929m mark, might have to have another go and see if i can sneak p...

Re: Forum Flyers

Well Spike, tried CTC twice more.... only managed another 937m, but more evenly paced. Guess that's all i got for now! It's still a solid result. And you're still in the lead boat too. Got to be pleased with that... Even pacing might not have given you a better result but I bet it was less unpleasa...

Re: Forum Flyers

Well, I should be in our lead boat with you now, Richard. I aimed to hold 1:45 pace as long as possible with your 937m firmly in my mind and managed to just pip you with 954m. I reckon you could close the gap, particularly if you can get it evenly paced. Whatever the distance, I usually go out hard...

I'm enjoying my first season in a rowing team. It gives my sporadic rowing workouts a bit more purpose.
Ditto here Spike, but only 4 months so far. Looking forward to full season. Summer to fall will be mostly outdoor cycling, though.

Looking forward to your CTC result to push me for more!

Re: Forum Flyers

The Indoor Rowers League (IRL) season is now over. Our 2 Forum Flyers teams had a total of 19 people registered, and 7 of which completed all of the challenges in the season. And our two teams finished in 20th and 21st place. Well done to all the Flyers who did the IRL/FMMC challenges. I was please...
