My TKR got delayed 5 months because CT scan said my knee was too big for available implants, needed a custom version. Happens about 2% of the time. Knee also required some straightening. I am 10 weeks out right now. PT started flexion almost immediately with 10 other exercises. Not exactly fun even ...

I am getting ready for a knee replacement next month, unless elective surgeries get delayed due to covid. Ortho doc has insisted that prepping presurg really helps recovery. Do not be too concerned about time as you start up. Focus more on your form and watch the various on line videos that are available. If you can find a local rower great. I am 70, 6' 7'', about 300 pounds, and have been very physically active my entire life, but time and some medical issues caught up...

Thanks for the replies. Tried an old skateboard and had trouble keeping my boot on it or controlling its movement. Ended up simply putting a rubber mat on the floor for the boot, rocked back/forth off a point in the heel, and push with my other leg. The boot limits the ankle flexion so I do a partia...

Late October I ruptured my left achilles while walking up a hill. Who knew walking was a contact sport? Had surgery and am now in a walking boot for at least 6 more weeks.
