Re: Locating Old Results (BIRC 2005)
Depends what you want, but suggest you ask Concept2 (Info at Concept2.com) since they ran it back then at the Birmingham indoor arena and they've probably got the results archived somewhere. But if its just the first three placings you want then I see they are available here https://www.google.com/...

Thanks in advance!

Re: Chain Slip? Advice Please!
Thanks for all your comments guys. I’ve started to notice I’m gradually getting a little more slack in the chain returning at rate 40 using the machine as a static now so I think the bungee has lost a little tension. I think I’ll get someone to look at it soon!

Re: Chain Slip? Advice Please!
Its 99% certain the Chriss. Needs oil and if its really broken it can be replaced. On the c2 can be found how. Its in the case, so you need that to take off etc.. Thank you - I’ll definitely give it an oil as a first step and go from there. On an uninformed basis and without the technical know how ...

Ergdata on Laptop?
Hi all, I want to be able to show the ergdata display to the camera when I'm recording the occasional test effort. The only spare screen I can think of using is my laptop. Is it possible to run ergdata on a laptop? I understand there are android emulators, but my laptop doesn't have bluetooth - so, ...

Re: Typical differences in split times at different distances
You could try this pace predictor..... https://www.freespiritsrowing.com/forum/app.php/page/pace-predictor I've found it to be reasonably accurate.....try using your 500m and your 30' times. That's really interesting, but the times it's predicting for my 2k are a bit frightening! I clicked on...

Re: BRIC
I don't know if you noticed but without the racing start (which added 2.0 seconds for Phil) the row would have been 1:09.8 just insane. It was the end of Phil’s first stroke that was reported at 2.0s (and mine at a lethargic 2.2s!), so you wouldn’t gain that full 2 seconds in a standalone TT but pr...

Re: BRIC
I see Phil Clapp did the business again in the Men's Open 500m with Chris Scott 3rd. I don't know if you noticed but without the racing start (which added 2.0 seconds for Phil) the row would have been 1:09.8 just insane. It was the end of Phil’s first stroke that was reported at 2.0s (and mine at a...

Re: Chain Slip? Advice Please!
Well I opened the machine today. It’s done 900k metres and I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the insides were. Nothing looked damaged inside the flywheel, and the teeth on the cog at the end of the chain look fine too. I gave it plenty of lubricant all round and I’m hoping it was something as ...

Re: Chain Slip? Advice Please!
Thanks guys, these are some really informative replies. I’m going to dismantle tomorrow and give it a clean and inspection. I gave it a quick spin this evening without slides just down to 1:10 pace for a couple of hundred metres and everything felt fine, so it only seems to be at the higher rate and...

Re: Chain Slip? Advice Please!
Hello, I was having a crack at some sprints this evening on the slides and seem to have encountered a problem with the chain slipping when I get towards max wattages. I wasn’t having the same problem last week, and the erg seems to row smoothly otherwise. Could anyone offer any advice as to whether...

Re: 500m first time row
Thanks everyone for the kind comments. I will go back and do some training to try improve and follow the advice people have suggested on here. I’ll set up a log aswell to help record things better. I’ll shoot a video from the side so people can see where I’m going wrong on my technique. Also where ...
