Re: Curious about teams

Might do. Go here⬇️ https://log.concept2.com/challenges Year-round rowing challenges for collegiate, corporate, military unit, and gym-based teams and of course also ‘virtual’ internet aggregations. Mostly seasonal ‘participation’ (meter muncher) challenges, personal fitness ‘start-me-ups’, and per...

Curious about teams

I'm not a serious rower and relatively new, but I wanted to explore teams to see if it's something that would help me row more than I do currently (1-2 times a week). I do typically 30 minutes and am up to 6500m now for a time of 2:17.

Re: New to rowing

Hi everybody! I started rowing a few weeks back - I'm 48 and hit 280 ln this summer so started eating better and less to get down to about 260 and now started to exercise again. I used to row at the gym and its definitely been a lot more challenging as my cardio is not what is used to be. I’ve just...

Re: New to rowing

Welcome to the forum. Overtraining is more of an issue of under recovery, so, as long as you keep it at a sensible pace you could theoretically row every day. If you're rowing three times a week I'd do one hard, sharper session and two longer slower sessions. Weight training is very beneficial, and...

Re: PM5 - swapping a Bikeerg model to a Rowerg

When I try to connect my PM5 (firmware 168) to my macbook via usb-a with concept2 utility 7.10.01, utility doesn't see the device connected and the PM5 just crashes. Any ideas on what's going on and how to fix? I have tried rebooting my Mac and also have taken the batteries out of the PM5 and put th...

Re: Question about rest data on Concept 2 logbook

What you did already if you can do it almost every day is fine. Maybe at the end of each session, push it a bit to let yourself see your own development, using the legs. Doing both long continuous and shorter interval work brings experience. I use 5 minute intervals when I want to try something new...

Re: Question about rest data on Concept 2 logbook

Thanks for the info. I'm a large guy (about 260lbs) and got a rowing machine last year but only really started taking rowing seriously the last few months. What is the ideal targets for wattage for a beginner my size? I have the rower set to 5 and it certainly feels like a workout but should I be tr...

Question about rest data on Concept 2 logbook

Am relatively new to rowing and all the data. Seems pretty straightforward so far but am confused by what is considered "rest meters" Here's a recent workout I did (using Asensai) and here's how it was recorded: 5,631m METERS 30:00.1 TIME 2:39.8 PACE 502 CALORIES 137 HEART RATE Rest Distance 3,912m ...

Re: ergdata and apple watch

So I got the Echo and paid the $15 bucks as 20 minutes is pretty useless. I connected Echo from my watch (or iphone it seems to use both) to the PM5. Then I ran Asensai using my ipad and connected to the PM5 - it seemed glitchy at first but then it worked. I have Asensai connected to C2 logbook and ...

Re: Asensei

There are literally dozens of follow along workouts on YouTube, is the coaching and technique assistance worth the subscription? For me it was, but more importantly, the integration with and real-time goal-setting and feedback from the C2 is a big differentiator compared to watching Youtube videos....
