Re: What are the benefits of Strapless rowing?
Not exactly sure about a real "benefit", but I can say for me that I just naturally dont need them. Fosusing on proper form I just found that I naturally roll back forward.

Re: Model E discontinued
Very interesting marketing choice. I guess thats the end of the longer fixed arm for the PM5 that the Model E had and the plastic/rubber coated chain?

Re: USB device
Interesting to see these posts, this is the first I have heard of the "not both" "rule". I have a Model D, BikeErg and SkiErg, all three with the latest hardware version of the PM5, the latest version of the firmware and a Sandisk Cruzer Fit 32GB USB 2.0 thumb drive in each ( LINK ) and all three co...

Re: Battery life in PM5?
Havent had any issue with the batteries that came in my Model D/BikeErg/SkiErg (with a USB drive constantly in the PM5 as well as using Bluetooth and ANT+ everytime I use the machines) dying prematurely yet, but I have been thinking of swithing them over to some good D cell ultra low discharge NiMh ...

Re: Rower cover, is it needed?
I considered a cover for a minute, then asked myself: is dust/dirt/rain/water spray a problem where I will be using my rower? Because thats all a cover is really going to protect from. Thankfully my Concept2 machines are all in a bedroom so the answer was no and I was able to pass and put the money...

Re: PM5 ANT+ heart monitor reconnect
Not sure if it helps or not, but I manually connect and disconnect my Polar H10 each time I switch between my Model D/BikeErg/SkiErg (all with PM5 and USB thumb drives). Same with the ErgData app running on my iPhone.

Re: Best heart rate strap for Ski Erg?
Anyone compared the Polar OH1+ with the HRM built into the Apple Watch? Wondering if one already has an Apple Watch is there any reason to get an optical sensor HRM like the Polar OH1+.

Re: did you purchase your SkiErg from Amazon?
I just did and it was bought and sold by Amazon for the MSRP price. You need to just watch the product page for any of the Concept2 machines and refresh them daily. Several times a day in fact. And all the machines come in stock shipped and sold by Amazon for the asking price. I was able to buy the ...

Re: Unable to assemble handlebars
I also have a Bikeerg direct from Concept 2 this week and am in the process of assembling. I haven’t got to the pedal yet but am really struggling getting the handlebar post ‘pushed’ through the front upright and black plastic insert.I’ve loosened the tension knob as far as it will go. Any suggesti...

Re: Adjusting the handlebar reach position
Add me to the list. Just assembled my BikeErg yesterday and the seat and handlebar square tube fittings were way tighter than I expected. Was worried I was going to scratch or damage something with how hard I had to push to slide the handlebars in. I'm hoping that after being tightened for a bit the...
