Re: Forum Flyers
Hello Forum Flyers, I joined the Flyers for the C2 FTC. I enjoyed watching everyone's progress throughout the challenge. My only experience with the rowerg was limited to usage at the local health club. We only had 2 ergs there, so time on it was limited to 20 minutes. After the health clubs were c...

+1 for the Metcon. I love how firmly it plants on the machine, and the heel locks into the footholds nicely.Dangerscouse wrote: ↑October 9th, 2020, 1:10 amI'm not sure about arch support, but I use Nike Metcons which have a very firm heel / sole, like all training shoes

Re: Extremely fatigued today. Normal? Next steps?
Pretty sure. I just finished 1 hour, 10,200m, with average HR of 120. My UT2 band average is theoretically 136 (using Free Spirits calc). You're not using your legs. You should be doing 10K in close to 40 minutes and 15K in an hour. (My legs disagree re my form.) I agree as a goal. But I shouldn’t ...

Re: Persistently low drag factor
I'm at 981 ft above in Indiana.
3-4 is the mid 90's, top edge of 6 puts me at 130.

Re: Extremely fatigued today. Normal? Next steps?
is your MHR based on a formula or a trial to maximum Spend about 70-80% off your training with a HR cap of 80% HRR so go slow - racing your training is the biggest mistake you can make if your technique is OK Limit going above 90% of HRR to <15% of training MHR is trial max. The HRR (reserve) conce...

Re: Extremely fatigued today. Normal? Next steps?
Thank you! This really helps my attention to the body signals. Blessing and curse of a great community — awesome help and community, but I’ll tend to push too hard to match others numbers. Oops.
Woke up today and did a VERY light 5k. Will see what I feel like later and continue on.

Extremely fatigued today. Normal? Next steps?
I'm a new rower and have started ramping things up since joining the forum and a team two weeks ago. Did 35,000m the first week, mostly steady state UT2, and put up my best 5000m for the cross team challenge. This week (2nd week) volume was about double the daily amount. Yesterday I tried the 5000m ...

Re: Forum Flyers
Fall Team Challenge starts in 2 days! I'll be on vacation without a rower for the first two days, so I'll have some catching up to do on Thursday. I'm new to this, but from what I can tell, the goal is basically to contribute as many meters as I possibly can over the course of the 30 days. And it lo...

Re: Forum Flyers
CTC 5k posted. First attempt at this distance in many years - 2:24.0 This was a trial run and I was very cautious to see what happens with my back when I apply some pressure. It went better than expected; my pace and stroke rate were all over the place as I tested and prodded my back, but I have a ...

Re: Forum Flyers
Hi everyone! I also just joined the team! 28yo, FHWT. I was an athlete in high school and undergrad but I have spent a lot of time eating carbs since. I picked up a rower last April but only occasionally rowed until March of this year when rowing became the most exciting part of my day. I have love...
