Re: Stretching, (Dynamic?) and Warmup
Nice, if it works for you. Go on with 100% effort from the start, I'm fine with it 👍🏻 I think your arguments have flaws, but I won't discuss them with you, as results won't add any useful to the thread. Or you could have answered honestly and wrote, "That's an interesting idea. I never thought of t...

Stretching, (Dynamic?) and Warmup
I'm enjoying my C2 and regularly do 30 minute rows.
What is recommended for pre-workout warmup and stretching; and for post-workout stretching.
I find a lot of material on YouTube and other places, some seems good, some doesn't.
I see dynamic stretching vs static stretching mentioned.

Workout Intensity, 30 Day Series, a program of workouts
I have access to a lot of great guided workouts online. But if I want to look forward, and decide what intensity should my workouts be over the next 30 days, what is recommended? I know I shouldn't go max effort 30 days in a row. Should I do one easy, one mid (level 2?), and one max effort? I found ...

Re: PM5, ErgData, More Complex Intervals
On ErgZone if you force the last interval to have "Undefined Rest" it will program the workout on the PM5 as variable. That way your target pace based on 2k+ will set the different pace boat on the PM5 for each segment. ErgZone was handy for programming today's workout. 3 Times: 2 mins at 20 @ (2K+...

Re: PM5, ErgData, More Complex Intervals
This could turn into a lot of data entry on my phone. I wish I could program the workout from my laptop and then send that to the app & PM5.

PM5, ErgData, More Complex Intervals
I've been rowing the RowAlong Workouts and mainly using ErgData (and Concept2 with PM5). I have used ErgZone too. Is there a better way to program the wokrouts. Take One Workout: "20 minutes of Speed!" - Easy: 30 seconds easy, 20SPM, (2K+18-20) - Max Power: 30 sec full power, 20SPM, "10 Big Ones", S...

ErgData LogBook HR Zone Bands
When I open ErgData and go to LogBook and I click on a workout I can scroll down to Avg HR and Max HR. It also shows Zones 1-5 by HR, and time spent in each zone. Where do the upper and lower BPM's for each zone come from? Did I set age and weight somewhere? These zones are different from the ones I...

Hydrow YouTube Videos
I love the videos on the Hydrow YouTube channel. Great athletes encouraging me and setting the pace. Beautiful scenery. Great photography. Is anyone else here using those videos and enjoying them. The one I've rowed to the most is "20-Minute Rainy Day Rowing in Alaska" https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=...

Recommended SPM at UT2 & UT1
I calculated my heart beat range for bands (UT1, UT2, etc.). I'm following a training plan from the "Indoor Training Guide" So I have workouts like 1 x 20 min at UT1, and 2 x 12 min @ UT1. What is the recommended stroke rate for these workouts? I find that when I row at 26 SPM it gets my heart rate ...

How to Calculate UT1 and UT2
I recently reopened a spread sheet which in the past I used to calculate: UT2, UT1, AT, TR, and AN Looking at the formulas I see that TR = 2K time / 4 AN = TR - 3 seconds AT = TR * 1.12 Problem? UT = TR * 1.1? Did I lose a digit at the end? That doesn't seem right. Should it be TR*1.13 or TR*1.14? U...

Re: Heart Rate Zone based workouts (BPM, Pulse)
I went for the 'Original Plan' preparation phase 6 day version(3 week cycle) and looped it round a few times resetting my reference paces with a new 2K at the end of every 3 weeks. Okay, on page 73 I see "The Original 2,000m Training Programme: 6 Sessions per Week" Were you cycling Light Week, Medi...

Yes, "Indoor Rowing" is a comprehensive guide. Is there something specific in there you think would be helpful?dabatey wrote: ↑March 16th, 2022, 3:11 pmLink below is C2 Version 2 guide

Re: Heart Rate Zone based workouts (BPM, Pulse)
Yes, exactly.
So if I calculate my UT1 to be 139-149 we ould your recommendation be
5 minute warmup
30-40 minutes rowing in the UT1 zone. Maintain good form.
5 minute cooldown

Re: Heart Rate Zone based workouts (BPM, Pulse)
Prefer constant pace training rows and the odd days with intervals myself ... For me a max HR of 150 or a "Capped HR" of 150 is working really well at present What would that be in Concept 2 Training bands? Are you at AT, Anaerobic Threshold, 80-85% of MHR, and you maintain that for 30-40 minutes? ...
