Re: RowPro Replacement

. RowPro would have been miles ahead by now *should Agree 💯 that’s the whole issue. No development. I use Zwift and thought there must be something similar for rowing? Rowpro? 😩It’s stuck firmly in the past. I gave EXR a go and saw it was well ahead in the development process. I have no idea wether...

Re: RowPro Replacement

It has lots of training sessions as well as the standard ones like 2K. It has a FPT test and it has a drag a drop design your own. Very easy. Has the game functions like the PM5. Of course there are leader boards for sprints etc. Cross platform PC, phone, iPads etc. Also caters for water rowers. So ...

Re: Becoming a better cyclist from erging/rowing?

Anecdotal https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/osborne-combines-rowing-physiology-and-zwift-racing-skills-to-take-first-mens-esport-world-title/ A 2018 study from Australia https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6077239/ Read but I’ll be honest I didn’t get much from this as it’s beyond my pay gra...

Re: Becoming a better cyclist from erging/rowing?

‘ I could see myself holding 340 watts for 20 minutes at 71kg. Crazy to think that erging has increased my power on the bike.’ I had a similar experience. Been rowing but not seriously for a few years. Decided late last year to learn and train to help cycling as cross training. Long story short saw ...

Re: Another rowing/cycling confirmation

I’ve rowed for years never seriously until the last few months. I’m a cyclist so a bit of cross training helped. However once I started rowing about 5-7 hours a week I’ve seen a 20W jump in my cycling FTP. Rowing I think has given me stronger arms core back connecting my legs better. I’m keeping row...

Re: EXR rowing app

I’m using it. It’s running fine. Easy to make training sessions, drag and drop, FTP test. Due to release Q1 21. It’s very much like Zwift. Racing is going to be a thing.

Re: Cross training cycling

I certainly race online Zwift. Used to differentiating my training. I’ve been able to improve on cycling FTP. The two things that have changed recently is I’m riding a cross bike and a ton more rowing. Cross bike, lot harder than road. I get more strength out of a typical couple of hours. Mix sees 3...

Re: Cross training cycling

Big thank you to all for your suggestions. They will be incorporated. I literally had no ideas of the rowing cycling benefits and how or what I should do. I kinda bumped into this and really noticed the improvement. I did the Scottish championships as my first online2K race. Thought I’d be good to g...

Re: Cross training cycling

I'd ask why you are even doing the rower if you want to be fast on a bike. Strength, core, back, arms. It’s made me much stronger. I was just cycling. My FTP on a recent Zwift race has jumped to 253 and I did my best ever PB 52 mins up AlpDuZwift online race. So accurate power. I have no problems o...

Re: Cross training cycling

I’ve been rowing but not seriously for the last four years. Recently took it up more seriously, watched the videos, up my daily metres to around 10k. Saw some great improvements on the bike. I’m ok at training on the bike. I want to improve my rowing, been following the Peter plan layout sprint inte...

Cross training cycling

Need some advice. I use rowing as cross training for cycling. Had some good results. My question is can I replace / reduce the endurance sessions and replace them with cycling? Long sweet spot distances. Good idea or? Thank you
