Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
Week 10 for me last week. I decided to slow down the pace for the SS from 2:22 to 2:25 because I could not keep my heartrate in the UT2 zone. But even at that pace my heartrate rises during the long rows and ends at the top of the UT1 zone, and even a bit in the AT zone. 9500m 2:25,5 spm 17 4x2000m ...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
Any ideas perhaps on how to pace the next session 2x2000m 4R The instrux for the 2 x 10 mins in week 1 are to hold the steady row pace for the first rep and aim to slightly beat it on the second. I don't think that's very challenging but it is the fifth session of the week so maybe it's not meant t...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
Onwards and upwards to session 4 of week 1. I refuse to be disheartened by Pete's advice that " whether your 5000m sessions have been taking you more or less than 20mins, aim to row this session at a slower pace" :) I also raised my eyebrows when I read that. Did all 5 sessions this week. 5k time a...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
I followed the BPP 2 years ago and struggled the last 8 weeks of the plan. Did not do all the essential training and stopped rowing. Goal at that time was a sub 8 min 2K, which I did manage (7:55,1) Today I decided to try the BPP again. 5k 23:34,9 2:21,4 22spm I am curious if I can complete all the ...

I use in-ear headphones with active noise cancelling. They allmost completely block the sound of the erg.

Re: Pete Plan Thread
Hi, I bought my C2 model D in 2014 but never really used it. In 16 years I only managed to reach 1000km. On average 62km per year! (there were also years with zero km) I tried sometimes to do a 2000m but obviously without proper training I didn`t do well and I believe that the best I did was somethi...
