Re: My ergs are getting harder, HR is going up. Why?
Just a quick update, I just got off my erg from a 10k steady state. I covered the screen apart from the distance and I felt so much more relaxed and less stressed whilst doing it and it felt so much more natural. I rated quite lower than usual at 17spm but it all felt natural so im not being hard on...

Re: My ergs are getting harder, HR is going up. Why?
Thanks for all this advice guys, I always feel fatigued towards the end of my steady states, maybe 4k to go, so I will go slower and more naturally.

Re: My ergs are getting harder, HR is going up. Why?
Maybe if you feel fatigued you are actually fatigued and are over doing it. Your evaluated HR means your not getting the recovery period you need. Personally I always found that it took about 2 weeks for a set rate of exercise to catch up with me. What initially felt doable on a monthly challange g...

Re: My ergs are getting harder, HR is going up. Why?
I think you're trying to control too many things in your steady states, your pace, your rating, your heart rate, being precise and so on, which keeps you from relaxing - and you need to relax. My ergs are getting harder, HR is going up. Why?

In the 4 x 2k I couldnt finish the last 2 because I was so physically fatigued. Last time I started out and went off and did 7:35 then 7:38. This...

I always do UT2 workouts at rate 19 and they are 12km. I stick around 2:14 but i have been getting better heart rate im...

Re: Junior Lightweight Rowing?
Recently, I completed the British Rowing Virtual Championships. I qualified in my heats for the 500m coming 11th out of 43 boys of my age. I made the A finals and came 13th out of 20 which would correspond to 13th out of the 43 that entered. Mainly, my thoughts and my overview of this event are var...

Did my first ever 30 minute piece today at rate 20. Ive done several 20 minute pieces at this rate but I thought i'd go for the more well known half hour and see how I did. https://dgtzuqphqg23d.cloudfront.net/o9nHz77lGGFc_v_wKMlU6vMoM-_nKnHeEsqDhijGUo8-1529x2048.jpg 7577 meters @ 1:58.7, quite plea...

Re: Im improving my scores a lot at the moment - will that carry on?
Thanks for the feedback, I'll make sure to keep working hard and I'm looking to do a 5k in a few weeks time, ive never done one, the only thing I've done which is similar is a 20 minute at rate 20 where i got just over 5100m. Id possibly be looking to break 19 mins but I'll see how it goes. 5100m f...
