Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Thanks I'm pleased - great to hit a goal that you are working towards what ever that is. Actually felt a little nervous/apprehensive about the row going into it which I find kind of funny. Also it was a bit hot in the garage which didn't help and I had a delivery man that came half way through that ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Yes I remember when I was younger I put the drag up to 7 or 10 because - well big numbers = better :D I'm coming to the end of PP 5k so Ill stick it out at 120 drag see where I end up. I was 5 secs from sub 7 a few weeks ago so I wonder if a lower drag will help make up a little time. It's a steady ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Did a 10km just row steady state. Interestingly typically I run that session in 41:30 at drag 135, today I remembered somewhere about dropping the drag down on steady state. So dropped it to 121, I came in a full minute quicker and my heart rate was much more in control

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Been doing pp 5k plan wk10d1. Thought I’d up the ss session to a 1 hour row to see how I got on. Pretty much ok my usual hr 132-135 started to increase to 140 in the back end of the row, harder to control. Generally ok tho although tired after and my lower back is a bit sore. A good split 2:04 14,43...

Re: Training & Weight Loss
Otherwise consciously or unconsciously, we all have a tendency to indulge ourselves as a reward for our good training habits. I like that, it's certainly what I would say to myself through out the years, "Ive trained hard I can eat what I want" which is then often followed by "Im not making the imp...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Lucky enough that I purchased a C2 a few years ago and its allowed me to continue to train through this bizarre period. Been running Petes 5k plan on a lunch time, anyway I've started to look at the 2k time and looking for sub-7. Always enjoyed the rower but it was a workout tool rather than anythin...
