Suggested mat for Concept2 D?

Hey, Basically as title, I'm needing a mat to avoid sweat or leaving marks in the carpets that will be put down soon, I'd like one that's slightly bigger than the machine but not too big. No idea which would be good, would have to not move around while machine in use etc. Based in the UK btw, so som...

Re: PM5 and ErgData, data didn't save

It was the first time using the PM5 and I manually connected it - I did it exactly how I said in first post. Connect PM5 to ErgData via bluetooth -> confirm my workout is on the ErgData -> switch display to spotify -> finish row -> noticed it wasn't connected any longer Do have latest firmware by th...

PM5 and ErgData, data didn't save

Hi, I just got the PM5 monitor (was previously using PM3) and I've installed ErgData on my Galaxy S10, it's linked to my C2 logbook - prior to starting my workout I connected the monitor to the app via bluetooth, set up my work out to ensure it's displaying correctly, which it was, I then switched f...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan

Well, I finished the plan today! I'm looking forward to trying other kinds of rows going forwards and am certainly going to use what I've learnt from this plan, which is a lot. It's a shame that newer cards don't work very long, my brothers' 10+year old one that is cracked works completely fine yet ...

Re: Feet burning when rowing

I'd like to keep usings shoes so not looking to do the shoeless option. Is there any particular shoes you guys would recommend that are wider (see picture)? My last few rows I used a pair of Airwalk Brock which are skater shoes and while they don't burn my feet as much as the Metcon's it's still a f...

Re: PM3 vs PM5 - Pros and cons?

Overall I'm not sure if there's any real advantage to switching to the PM5? The main thing that made me ponder this is that the "official" smart phone mount doesn't sit well on the PM3 (presses buttons) and the more flexible, better designed one for the PM5 isn't compatible with the PM3 it seems Th...

PM3 vs PM5 - Pros and cons?

As topic - I currently use the indoor rower with the PM3 monitor and I'm wondering if it's worth purchasing a PM5 instead, I've read that it has (had?) a few glitches but I'm not sure on the specifics or whether they have been resolved and also that the batteries run out a "lot faster", but just how...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan

Those times are insanely fast for a beginner. I found the 2x 2k with 4 min break one of the hardest on pete's plan as well. I'm on week 4 and loving it. But reading this I too think I have been doing the endurance too fast.. I'm struggling to see how you can do 22 spm though. The lowest I can seem ...

Feet burning when rowing

Hey, I've been rowing now for about 4 months and I've struggled with this issue since the start, however as the distances increase so does the pain :p Basically, after rowing about a 3-4k distance the outside of my feet (mostly on the left foot) starts to "burn", I'd describe it as a burning/somewha...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan

Just thought I'd share my progress so far, it seems crazy to me the progression one can have with their fitness! It's fun for me to look at my past month of steady-state rows and compare them. 1st September 5000m 2:18.3 /500m 18s/m 4th October 7000m 2:16.8 /500m 18s/m 7th October 7500m 2:15.8 /500m ...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan

So I'm about to start week 3 of the BPP and wanted to share my progress thus far. Firstly, I weighed myself for the first time in forever and while I previously guessed I weighed 24-25 stone I actually weigh about 23&1/2 (328lb), it would have been interesting to weigh myself before starting to row ...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan

But for those of you trying to give advice on my weight Sorry about that, apologies. 152-158 and extremely sedentary lifestyle are louder alarm bells than most. If all is already under control, very well done indeed. No worries - Diet wise, well more-so lifestyle eating habbits wise I've been eatin...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan

Thanks for the rowing advice guys, I very much appreciate it as it has helped me set the goal in motion. But for those of you trying to give advice on my weight I'd just like to point out that advice on that is not what I asked for, if I wanted that I'd of posted in the Weight Loss section and not h...
