Re: 100000m skierg
I completed my 100k Skierg on Friday 28th April. It was in my birthday week, as I had turned 60. I had a year or so preparing - basically just getting some distances under my belt. Usually 100k/week - with a mixture of rowing and Skierg. As I had previously done the 100k row nearly 2 years ago, I u...

Re: Endurance erging - A place to discuss 42, 50, 100k upwards.
So.... I rowed a century today. I'm really proud to finish with a solid effort. I'm going to take a few days off and then will go back to focusing on shorter distances for a while. Final verdict - this is the hardest row that I've done. I am glad I did it. Not sure about a second one. Just se...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Hey,I have been thinking about the warm-up and cool-down rowing,I never getting a chance to try,so is it that important?couse I dont have much time on rowing. My opinion is that the shorter and more intense the workout is, the more important a warmup is. You could theoretically do a 60min test piec...

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
All changes to CTC rules are decided by democratic vote. If you wish this to be implemented, please set up a poll on Google or other platform. This has to be accessible by C2 Forum and facebook users. Regards, Joe There's ongoing discussion about the use of slides in CTC challenges. Whatever the ou...

Re: Is there an optimal stroke length?
sorry if this has been answered and I've missed it but is there a way of getting the average over time? I've never checked but just went onto erg data and saw 1.42 drive length...but I've no idea if that is an average or refers to my last session? thanks for your help and apologies if I've missed s...

Re: 100000m skierg
I may be remembering wrong but I think Freddy Hancock has done a couple of 100ks on the skierg. I think he's now with the MAD team - if you can track him down maybe he can help. I think Freddie did five of them in the space of a week or two. He'll be a very valuable source of information Hi guys, D...

Re: Durability of rower
The rower will be LESS impact than walking for someone weighing 345 lbs. A fairly comfortable seat (with appropriate padding) supports the weight. Adding walking is outstanding, but walking can be more painful, especially for someone with bad knees. Your leg drive will be huge day 1 because your le...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
New 2K PB at 6:27.8 As promised, I tested my 2K today and I got a PB by 1.6 seconds. I am happy to get a PB especially since my 2K time hadn't changed much from 2019, it was 6:29.9 in March of 2019, and 6:29.4 in March of 2020 and then today - I have only tested it like a couple times other than th...

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
You are only allowed to make a single entry for one team during each monthly CTC, I believe. Fair enough.....feels a bit restrictive though and not really in the spirit of challenge and participation. Different erg score, for a different team doesn't seem like too much of a reach especially as most...

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Hi, Can you please remove ianski and yoskida as they were ski erg scores apparently entered against the rules of the Ctc. Team is the delivery room Thank you Jd Or is it possible to have a new team created so we (The Delivery Room) can have a Skierg too also? Are we allowed to create a Skierg only ...
