Re: Ergathlon keeps failing
Looks like it was a bluetooth problem. I’ve linked the machines with cables as per the local C2 dealer’s instructions, and now they work fine. Not pretty and not ideal, but beats the frustration of wasting a hard effort on a recording error.

Ergathlon keeps failing
I’ve tried at least half a dozen ergathlons and they all keep failing for weird reasons. Usually the first leg and t1 are fine, and it’s a mess from there on. I’ve updated the programs, moved the machines as close to one another as I can and replaced batteries. No help. After setting it up, I get a ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Stu, kudos for a brave attempt! You’ll make it another day with flying colours, no doubt. One idea to reconsider, though, for special occasions: Unless you specifically want to complete your row on a self-sustained basis - I get it if you do! - y’know you’d be spared of lots of time, hassle and worr...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Completed the 100k in 6:59.43 yesterday. It was my first, so it’s also a PB, and I was told to post it on this thread for the record B) The first half felt harder than a 50k I did at the same pace a week ago, and the second half was even harder, as - on top of the fatigue building up - I had to spee...
Re: The 100K
Thanks everyone @ HR: 168 was the HR at the finish, your AHR was much lower, looking at the graph I would estimate in the low/middle 150's Thanks, that makes sense. Strava and Garmin Connect had my peak hr at 174 and average at 168, although it does not look that way in the graph, where the first ho...
Re: The 100K
Mission accomplished: https://log.concept2.com/profile/973347/log/44419657 Based on that 15+50k dress rehearsal last week, I felt confident going for a sub-7 target and didn’t expect to suffer too much besides butt ache. It felt like an appealing round target, not least because seven also happens to...

Way to go crew - looks like the boat is going sub-7 in the grande finale.

Re: How often to do maintenance?
Thanks, I just suddenly started worrying what if the pm dies and ruins my 100k. Safe to say not gonna happen with less than 2 months on the oem battery.

Re: 100K Row - LIVE STREAM - Saturday @ 10:30 AM EST
Good luck, stay strong!
Maybe you’ve got it covered already, but I’d also reserve a couple of towels to wipe off sweat and deal with any spillage of drinks if if happens. I’d also take in a little protein during an all-day workout, like a shake or bar, or even sandwich bites.

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Thanks J.A. It was a primarily a test and confidence builder for an upcoming 100k, but I guess also fine base training as such. My derriere remains somewhat sore today, but it should be good for a recovery row today. In fact it’s way better than after a slower marathon I did in March, so it looks li...

How often to do maintenance?
So I’ve got about almost a 1000k on this machine and haven’t done anything to maintain it so far, besides wiping the rail.
How often do you need to replace the pm battery (if you want to ensure it does not die during an important workout)? What about oiling the chain? Is normal bicycle lube ok?

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Getting some volume in with a prefatiguing U1 hour at noon, followed by an evening steady-state 50k in 3:30 https://log.concept2.com/profile/973347/log/44263714 Got some qualms about the 100k since the butt pain/numbness got increasingly intense in the last 10k. Luckily it was just one cheek so I co...

Re: Forum Flyers
Whoa, those are seriously high DFs... I did my 500m (just under 1:30) at 126 - looks like maybe it wasn’t optimal. :) But I am convinced of having already converted all my fast-twich thigh muscles into slow twitch... these days I’d be lucky to deadlift my own weight. Can’t remember the last time I’v...
