Interesting session.
Do you set the PM5 as 1’ intervals with 0 rest?
Also why was you HR 110 in minute 1 at 4SPM?
Thanks
Yeah, 1' intervals with 0 rest. My HR bands are all just higher than what's written everywhere. It gets to 100 just by walking, so 110 for 4 strokes seems about right.

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Death by calories 1 cal in minute 1 2 cal in minute 2 3 cal in minute 3 and so on, until failure I did 20+14 I haven't been rowing much, but my crossfit programming called for this today. I think this is a better test of rowing than a 2k row because there is no strategy involved. You simply have to ...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

Well.. since I posted it, thought might as well give it a go this evening (bit of support tape on the knee and largely ignoring it) :) Target was 7:20 so after some stretching, followed the WU plan accordingly: https://i.ibb.co/nQ0gRCk/2k-7-20-WU.png Found it hard to pace so low and rate up to 22/2...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

Don't beat yourself up! You have just sliced 5 secs off your 2k time, didn't HD after 1500m and got it done. That's a win in my book - so well done. Things don't always go to plan - there is always next time! Remember your rest days! Thanks Dino! In hindsight, a 5 second PB on a bad day isn't too b...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

Congrats Dino! I think you have a bit more in you looking at that heart rate. 7 beats down from your max with 3 minutes to go probably means you could have pushed earlier. But that just means you're fitter than you think you are!

Re: Reasonable goal setting advice

That's really good improvement, Sabrina. Have you looked at the beginner Pete's Plan? It actually seems pretty tailormade for you. It takes you from rowing 5k in week 1 to 10k in week 11. It has small, steady, increases in distance to get you used to spending more time on the rower. And these sessio...

Thanks a lot Dino, Max, and Keith!

Dino, when you mention 3x5k, 2x30 etc, are you talking about UT1 or UT2?

Was going to do a medium intensity 10k today, and 80% of it was, with a little push in the end to make it the 2nd fastest 10k I have done :) felt reasonably good! couple of minutes has gone now, and feeling ok fresh again. They are working again.
I meant that you hadn't included the 2k in any of your categories (all round, sprint, endurance)

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Good work and great progress since March. Personally I'm amazed that anyone has the patience to stick to a programme for that long, but with gains like these, don't change. I'm guilty of switching way too often - some sort of training attention deficit disorder... Thanks. I'll look to do the TT in ...

Your website is amazing and I'm all for more stats. Surely you need to have the 2k in there somewhere though :D
