Re: Real Time Loop and Fixed distance?
I couldn’t get both a Real Time Loop and a fixed distance row. I would also love for this to be a feature. I can see the potential appeal, but... What I observed with RowPro users in similar circs was that they ended up preferring timed ergs (30min, 40min, etc) rather than fixed distance as it mean...

Re: Try the Real Time Loop?
I really like it. Have only discovered it over the last week or two after a not inconsiderable amount of time off of the rower for one reason and another. Gives me a bit of motivation knowing there are other folk out there, just rowing away happily, from various parts of the world. Really works for ...

Re: Real Time Loop Users
I too am in the slower category. Have been neglecting my rower of late, but this has just the pull for me not to get bored. Like Douglas Adams and deadlines, the other rowers just go whizzing by, but it’s nice to feel that someone is out there, at least!

Re: Your Mix of Sports?
I’m a kettlebell sport lover; I actually bought my C2 as a supplement to that on the advice of my instructor when I said I couldn’t run (have tried and tried again but really find it uncomfortable) but wanted to improve my cardio. I used to lift kettlebells ‘hard style’ for reps but always wanted to...

Re: Model c with pm2
No need for this, you can just (I believe) retrofit a PM5 monitor. A fraction of the cost of a new rower!Formerhondaman wrote: ↑January 1st, 2021, 4:27 pm
I will when finances allow trade up for a model d with pm 5 but need to sell house first.
Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: Pre - 'Beginner Pete Plan'
Lots of evidence that Long Slow Distance workouts are necessary and should make up the bulk (by time 80-90%) of your workout plan. They should be VERY slow compared to what you can do if you push. You should be able to talk in sentences while rowing, or even sing. Almost, but not quite, able to bre...

Re: Pre - 'Beginner Pete Plan'
Just trying to build the distances up, and I like the intervals for variety! :D Drag factor is about 110. Back njury was caused almost certainly by poor technique, mainly overextending my back (I not go from 11 to 1 o'clock, if that, rowing strapless has also helped with that. The time I spent doing...

Pre - 'Beginner Pete Plan'
Bought my C2 in late 2019, used it on and off for a while with what I thought was good form. Started to ramp up the distance and/or frequency as lockdown occurred last year and I got furloughed. After just making it up as I went along, I thought the beginner Pete plan would be a good program to try....

Re: have I been holding handle upside down?
I happened to notice the handle was curved the other day. An (unrelated to the rower) back injury has kept me away for a while (and I'd not been on the erg for long before that), and I wondered if There was a right and a wrong. I've been holding it 'ends down', which seems to be the popular consensu...

New to Erging, an introduction
Hello all, been lurking for a while and signed up for a shorter while, so thought it polite to introduce myself. I'm Chris, 49 and a newish kettlebell sport competitor who is rowing to help build up my aerobic conditioning and general fitness. Have tried to run several times in the past, but am real...
