Failed login attempts to my account
Question for the forum moderators, or any other forum members that have run into this: Lately when logging into the C2 forums I often receive a notification at the top of the login page about numerous failed login attempts into my forum account, and I then have to use captcha to verify I’m not a bot...

Re: Increasing Time or Drag
I’m 70, 5’9” in height, weigh 171lbs and have been rowing on the C2 for almost 5 years. These days I leave my drag factor set to 135-140, really just to give myself a little more resistance in order to build muscle. As others have mentioned, the drag factor is a personal choice. I would just be care...

Re: Analyze my force curve?
I never look at the force curve, but I know it's recommended to look like a haystack if that's any help. Glad you mentioned the haystack, I’ve heard that mentioned too- I think on one of the coaching videos I watched. I think it looks like the top part of a sine wave… maybe a bit broader at the top.

Re: Analyze my force curve?
Thanks for this - I'm 5'8, so your comment about having a longer force curve might be explained in part by the 1" difference in height. I was wondering about the 1 o'clock position on the curve, if that was indicative of a potential form improvement. I adjusted my form this morning, and noticed bot...

Re: Analyze my force curve?
Based on what a force curve “should” look like, I’d say yours looks pretty good. I personally see no glaring issues. The little dent on the left slope of the curve- if it’s present in all of your force curves- could indicate a slight break in leg power after starting your stroke. And your force curv...

Re: limited by an old heart
Hi Chris- I also have an ‘old heart’, and also have a stent (just 1 for me). I’ve been rowing for a few years at this point (as part of my heart-healthy lifestyle) and absolutely love it. And being very familiar with stress-echo tests (I’ve done a couple of those), I wonder if you’ve had any diagnos...

PM5 Feature Request - Adjustable Backlight Timeout
I’d like to submit the following feature request for the PM5- an adjustable backlight timeout (from 15sec to 1 or 2min, in 15sec increments). The current default timeout for the backlight is too short, and I often wind up pressing any key to turn the backlight back on so I can read the screen. Thank...
Re: Year 35
I like your note, Gabe... a lot. My wife and I have found a way that works (and has worked) for us to eat more healthy, to lose some weight, and for me to vastly improve my lipid profile (and this formula includes plenty of exercise of course). But there are many ways to ‘skin the cat’ as they say.....

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Re-rowed the 5/4/3/2/1 @ 18/20/22/24/26 rate ladder this morning. It was all going to plan until the last 1km when my HR jumped from 165 to over 200 and it stayed there was the rest of the row. I did feel like my HR seemed irregular at the point, thumping in my chest and I didn't feel too great so ...

Re: Increasing quota size in phpBB
Because Concept2 are a rowing/skiing/biking ergo company not a media host. It costs money to run this forum and extra disk space will cost extra. You wouldn't want advertising on here to fund extra space to satisfy your ego. Wow, you’ve really got a lot of nerve. I simply ask you to elaborate on wh...

Re: Increasing quota size in phpBB
It's not going to change. Put your stuff on a sharing site, post a link here. For photos I use https://imgur.com/ Ok, I get that... can you at least elaborate on why? Is it to conserve backend storage space, save money, or maybe both? One of the reasons why I prefer to handle these attachments on t...

Re: New member, seeking feedback
Hey guys- my Garmin HRM1G arrived the other day and I already had a chance to try it out on the rower. Really like it so far... I finally have visibility into my heart rate action during my sessions, and now have this info on my workout graphs as well. So far, so good- thanks much for all of the goo...

Increasing quota size in phpBB
Question for phpBB admins- I’m a fairly new member here and have been having problems adding attachments to my posts (i.e. ‘the board attachment quota has been reached’). I’ve seen a few threads already on this same issue, but the recommendation by folks here was to use external sites to host the at...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
I did another string of tabata workouts yesterday (a workout I originally discovered on a British Rowing video a few weeks back)- and this time, I had my new HRM on to give me nice (accurate) visibility as to what my heart was doing throughout the session. My HR was actually higher than I expected, ...
Re: Year 35
Thank you, Rowenfuul! I know I need to do better about food intake, and have been mostly better about it since the new year started. I know that rowing is helping as I'm starting to see some changes in my body shape. My legs are getting smaller, and I'm probably going need to punch a new hole in my...
