You might also be able to open the PM2 up, disconnect the original battery tray, add a new battery tray on like the one below. You'd have to solder it, but it's only two connections. Use a heat sink when soldering to prevent damage to the components in the PM2. https://www.ebay.com/i/383212571221?ch...

I would not use a WD-40 brand product for lubricating the chain. They do not have the proper viscosity. You can probably find a 20 wt oil from a motorcycle supply shop or store. Fork oil is usually in that range.

It might work, it might not, but we use hair spray to attach motorcycle grips to the bars. The advantage of this is that you can get them off without having to cut the grips, and they stay firmly attached at speed.

I know this is late, but I would suspect the rattle is from the sprocket hub assembly. There is a clutch mechanism in it. The needle bearings are probably shot. You could attempt to take it apart, clean, inspect, relube, and reassemble it on the chance that fixes it. However, if it doesn't then you ...

You could also pull a similar screw, and take it to a hardware store to match it up for length, and thread size. They may be stainless steel. In the States Ace Hardware carries a lot of specialty fasteners. Lowes, and Home Depot less so. Specialty stores like Fastenal, can also help. Lastly, you can...

I did not see a pic. If acid from the battery leaked onto the board it may be creating a short. Providing it did not damage any components, or recut the trace you may be able to clean it up.
