Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Haven't posted in about a week so here's the week's training. Forgive me if the long post is a little bit too much but I thought it might be interesting to see a whole weeks training written out. I usually do doubles on the days that I do harder intervals with a lighter 45' or 60' in the afternoon. ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
I am failing a lot of workouts these days, and currently trying to figure out why. I have a couple of suspects fortunately: I am pushing too hard, too often. A couple of weeks ago I managed a 17:20 5k. A little while later I managed a 20:53 6k, which would indicate that I could push my 5k time even...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Did a 2k time trial today and was both pleased and disappointed with the result. It has been a while since doing a 2k so I guess my estimate was a little conservative as far as where my fitness is. Planned on 6:45 as a stretch goal and stayed on pace for that until the sprint. I'm very pleased that ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Started off the day with an 8x500 session with 2k warmup and 2k cooldown. Aimed to do the first half @34 and the second half @36, dropping the pace down as much as possible in the second half. I didn't know how much faster I could go once I hit the second half so paced slightly conservatively. Very ...

Re: ErgData
The Ergdata result is EXTREMELY useful if your also using a heartrate monitor and you then add a note to your row like I do with Temperature and Humidity and Synchronize or Sync it to the logbook. It contains your stroke count (that I had been waiting for someone to implement for over 5 years) and ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Started this morning with a 4x2k/4:30r with the rate building for every interval. Started at 24 and tried to drop it about 2 splits per interval but it got harder to stick to that as the rate got higher. Very tough session and the last interval was really hard but was still manageable because the ra...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Rest day yesterday and was feeling pretty fresh this morning. I usually schedule a 30r20 the day after a rest day because its one of my more dreaded workouts. My average for last week was 1:53.5 so that's where I decided to start things off. Was hoping that I could keep dropping the split times slig...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Did 4x2k/4:30r with the stroke rate capped at 26 this morning. I've been enjoying doing these capped sessions lately as I feel it encourages me to focus on technique. 29:04.9 8,000m 1:49.0 270 1228 26 180 7:17.2 2,000m 1:49.3 268 1222 26 177 7:17.0 2,000m 1:49.2 268 1223 26 179 7:16.2 2,000m 1:49.0 ...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Thanks ampire!
It died at about the 25 min mark at a heart rate of ~175. My max heart rate as far as I can tell is about 195, which I hit in my 10K time trial a couple months ago.

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Decided to finally start posting after my first 60' time trial yesterday. I've been watching this forum for a while and have learned a lot from everyone here. It might be sort of cheating to count my first attempt as a PB but I was very proud of the result and decided to share it anyway. 1:00:00.0 1...
