Speed Pyramid at 1:45.1 @ 29 spm with the below: 250m: 1:45.0 @ 29 500m: 1:44.3 @ 28 750m: 1:45.0 @ 28 1000m: 1:46.4 @ 27 750m: 1:45.2 @ 28 500m: 1:45.9 @ 29 250m: 1:39.8 @ 34 Beat my old PB of 1:46.7, going in the right direction. Building up higher stroke rate fitness - clearly dipped in the middle.

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Did a PP Speed Pyramid - 1:45.1 @29 spm.
Details on Pete Plan thread - beat PB by 1.6sec. A good nights' sleep (without the kids kicking me awake) does wonders.

Keep it up Sam - am sure you'll start improving in no time. I've also enjoyed being inspired by the times/paces posted - I get where you are coming from!mightymayesy wrote: ↑October 21st, 2019, 4:21 pmInspiring thread looking at some of these distances and times.

4 x 2,000m: 1:57.0 @ 21spm
1:57.6 @ 21spm
1:57.0 @ 21spm
1:56.6 @ 22spm
1:56.7 @ 22spm
Getting over the mental hurdle of doing 2k's (albeit at slow rates/paces). Felt good today and had some energy left in the tank.

Cycle 2 / W3 of PP: 4 x 1,000m today: 1:48.9 1:48.9 1:49.8 1:52.1 Overall: 1:49.9 @ 28spm Quite pleased as I managed to do the 4.9 sec faster than my previous 4 x 1k @ 1:54.8, and managed sub-1:50 (thought it might take another PP cycle to do this). Fatigue definitely shows on the last piece - kicki...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Suppose it's ok to take the proverbial foot off the gas pedal (read "feet off the rowing plates") if the focus was UT2/UT1 work? I have the opposite problem to you - am finding much easier to stick to lower stroke rates at consistent power vs. maintaining same power whilst rating up. Suppose it's a...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
I've done that on the BPP too.....Week 3 I misread 2x2000m and did 2x20min....considerably more effort required than expected :o  I also struggled with high rates early on having been told by someone that low rates were better. Still struggle to get past 28 s/m now but working on it. Haha - in...
