Tired of people asking me why I’m slow on certain durations. I just started rowing. My HM is based on 1 mild effort. Don’t ask until 6/2021 :wink: After that laugh at me. :|

1:43, 1:46, 1:44, 1:44 with a mild sprint at 1:40ish with 30s to go. Never felt good, before, during or after. I’ll go sub 6:50 when I wake up feeling good. :P

Thanks all. And I thank all of you for motivation. I’m at the age that the rocking chair calls as much as the rower.

Did a 1:04 kilo 1-2 years ago on almost no cycling training. Brutal, crazy speed his whole life.

My little brother started rowing with me last month and still uninitiated pulled 7:00, so big brother had to hit sub 7 first. :!:

Pulled 6:57 today. Naively I still think i can go sub 6:50 in 9 days. 6:57 wasn’t full gas.

Like others said lifting strength will come back ridiculously quickly. I just started deadlifting again and after 2 sessions am up close to 100lbs gain. Bench is up 30lbs this year. Nothing special, but added 500m to my 60min best. 14830m. Ave HR 131. Was tired though. Yesterday pulled almost a PB for 5k at 18:31 stroke rate <20 (2nd 2500 in 9:01).
