Re: Maintaining Fitness - Proposed routine
Looks like you put some serious thought into your plan. The only suggestion I would make is to substitute an aerobic work out for one to the weight training days. Could be walking, biking, hiking, jogging, running, ski touring, roller blading, etc. It looks like a solid plan and you seem disciplined...

Re: Lack of progress
Doing the same thing every day delivers the law of diminishing returns. No surprise you have reached a plateau and not progressing. True of all training, not just rowing. I'm also a beginner. That said look at the structure of the Pete Plan, Beginning Pete plan or one of the British Rowing training ...

Re: Recommend me some over/on ear headphones
With iems (in ear monitors) fit is everything. If not perfect they are uncomfortable and will pop out as you sweat. Yep, if that happens they don't fit. I love listening through iem's from portable devices but not when working out. Another issue I have is I wear glasses. Either I need an over the he...

Cheap, great sound and over the ear the Koss KSC75 is a classic for a reason. Not sylish, but comfortable.

Re: C2 on the way..whats the best way to start?
First, congratulations on changing your life and becoming more fit Well done! Another newbie here. I spent two weeks focusing on technique. There are several great videos online that can help you with that. I particularly like the Dark Horse and RVA Performance videos. The pick drill was especially ...

Re: BritishRowing Beginner Training Plan
Started week 2 this morning. Enjoying training and beginning to notice nuances in my technique. Work in progress. Oddly, I'm enjoying interval work. Stupid question that I can probably look up, but what do you do during the rest? Biggest problem? My gut. Not only does it interfere with the stroke, i...

Re: BritishRowing Beginner Training Plan
Al, that training plan looks like a good place to start. I like the fact that they add a suggested non-rowing session each week (walking and/or light jogging). My only gripe is that they only suggest you row twice each week. If you get into it and like rowing, I would suggest a third session each w...

Re: BritishRowing Beginner Training Plan
Thanks Lindsay. I had read that thread, but you can't read them all. Seems like it is full of common sense. Threads like that and past experience with other activities led me to concentrate on technique first. I am not especially coordinated so all the more important for me. For those who have not s...

BritishRowing Beginner Training Plan
I finally got my technique to where I'm comfortable and near as I can tell have good form most of the time. I"m sure as I continue I will discover flaws that need to be corrected and/or improved. Long winded way of saying I'm comfortable on the C2 and ready to begin training. I've looked at the Pete...

Re: PM5 Issue
Are you sure you tried a set of new Alkaline batteries, not just some you had lying about ? Did you try a full factory reset ? I presume your getting nothing on the display at all, if its just your not registering your rowing it could be something else. Went to the store and bought new batteries. I...
