Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
Week 1 Day 3: [5000m] – Look back at the average pace of your last 5000m session a few days ago. Aim to row at that pace consistently through this session, and don’t give in to any temptations to go faster, especially towards the start. Remember “technique, relaxation, efficiency.” I reduced my ave...

Re: Only having the Technogym Skillrow - any advice? Any training advice for me?
I used a Technogym rower for a while in a previous Gym and also had a work Gym C2 to compare it to. I found them to be fairly similar but never really fully tructed the Techno. The feel of the row was pretty good though and no wildly different results like you might get with a water rower. The user...

CTC first attempt today. Warmup 5k without fan to really get into it and get a sweat. First 3k more like UT2/1, then gradually ramping up with some bursts at target pace. Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
If you face back problems frequently when ramping up the distance and/or pace, it is probably time to incorporate core work for stabilization and not bailing out from the plan :) It had been OK for a while but I think a couple of stupid lifting situations have aggrevated things.....plus a change in...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
BPP W23S1 - 10k....started at R20 and then slowed it down for the second half. With previous back concerns I was pushing my luck and if I do want to complete the plan I'm going to have to be very careful. May be the time to bail on the plan and spend some time doing different sessions :? 40:48.8 10,...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Tried an easy row yesterday to test my back out....no issues but I did get some twinges later last night. May need a chiro correction to resolve but I'm going to give it a bit longer.

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Unexpected 2k skierg PB today! After my typical 15min skierg warmup for gym session, my gym buddy saying: let's go for a 2k race now, you on skierg and me on the rower! So we did! To be honest, I felt not good during warmup and wasn't convinced to perform well, but thought about 1:46 splits to get ...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
Sadly no repeat if the 4x2k today....and no real rowing either as my back has turned iffy and even a slow 3k aggravated it :? . Could have been me dragging a mattress up the stairs on Tuesday....or said new mattress causing some niggles. Always new it was going to be risky but the last one was 15yrs...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
Sadly, my house flooded with Hurricane Milton. I did manage to save the C2, but I've no place to set it up right now. BPP is on pause until I can clear some space. I will continue to monitor this thread for inspiration! :o :( ... sorry to hear that....hope you get things back to something like norm...
