Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Week 6 day 2 BPP, was going for the 2k intervals. First interval started quite good, so I decided to keep the pace. Ended up doing 7:57,7 for the first 2k interval, and the two next intervals at my previous PB of 2.06,5/500m I started the plan wanting to do a 2k sub 8 minutes, which I already have n...

Haha same here, did the 2nd 7k yesterday. It's not the endurance which is the challenging part, it's the mental part of doing the long time. Not looking forward to the 12k

I use a polar H7, and I never have this issue. I'd say take it easy and don't force the oar into your chest..?

Re: New rower seeking advice
Welcome! I would advise to start looking at the concept2 website: e.g.https://www.concept2.com/indoor-rowers/performance-monitors To find info about the monitor and what everything means. Furthermore, I would not advise the damper setting (tensioner so you name it) to be put at 10. In stead, put it ...

Re: Looking for training advice
Hi Furian, I'm doing the same thing you are, also around that pace for a 5k. At the moment i am doing the beginner pete plan: https://thepeteplan.wordpress.com/beginner-training/ I dot this 5 times a week. On top of that, after the row, I will do weights on 3, maybe 4 of those days. They consist of ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Still going on the BeginnerPP, 5 times a week. In week 3, day two atm. Combined with muscle workouts on 3 of those days.
Set myself the goal of 5k under 21 and 2k under 8. I came at the 2k intervals today. I felt pretty strong so did the first at 8:21,3 where the previous best was 8:33,8

Re: [In]decent Intervals
7/27 I started with what was going to be 50 x 30" on/30" off on the BikeErg, but had to bail after 17 of them on account of wrapping a shoelace round the pedal crank. Oops. I then set up 30"/30" again and did 26 reps / 8431m work distance at 1:32.5 pace: https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img922/6325/...

Re: When is it time to take a day off?
how do others decide its time for a rest day? When even after 10 minutes warm-up it still feels lousy, it's time to rest or do something else. This. I always train with a heart rate monitor too. If my heart rate won't go up like expected on the type of training i am doing, i know I am fatigued, and...

Re: Pete Plan Thread
Good morning all! As of today I am new to this forum. I have been using the Erg on and off the past couple of years. You know how it goes, starting with good intentions comitting to that for a couple of weeks, and then quitting. A while ago i was diagnozed with Asthma, and in combination with a bit ...
