Re: Bikeerg & Zwift
It asks me to spin 70 watts at 85rpm, even at the lowest damper setting I'm well above 70 watts - It fails the workout section because I'm holding 90 odd watts as I physically can't reduce power any more. Yes, the BikeErg is a little limited in its lowest “gears” compared to a smart trainer, this w...

Re: Bikeerg & Zwift
Coming back to this post for any newer readers. I ride the BikeErg and use Zwift almost exclusively. I follow workouts and training plan that call for different power outputs at various times during a ride. I have not yet felt it to be burdensome to adjust the damper during a ride. I kind of "hacke...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Edging the splits down for 8x500. Rate was a bit all over the place in the latter splits but happy with the pace. Once I can get these all in the 1:47s I'll attempt a sub 7 2k. Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
First time pushing the 8x500s under 1:50. Rate hovers around 30-32 for the first 7 then up to 35ish for the last. Sprinted at 150m left, should have gone earlier. Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Did a 1:32.9 500m today. Aiming for a sub 7 2k by the end of April so I'm now going pretty much all in on UT1/UT2 with only one interval session a week as I think I've got the power in the legs, it's just holding on for 7 minutes that will stop me. 500m x 8 /2'r is a good indicator for 2km in terms...

Re: The Virus thread - Is COVID-19 affecting your training program?
I row at an erg studio -- it closed last Monday because of the shelter in place order. They had hoped to reopen in early April, but I doubt that will happen. We've made the decision to buy an erg for my use at home. Probably the best investment into your long-term health that you can reliably make.

Re: How to rank a half marathon time
before you start make sure also that the PM has the correct date set as well as the 21097m so that they both match the verification code Use Ergdata and it checks the PM5 clock for you. ErgData has been a bit unreliable for me recently, all firmware and app is up to date, i just lose connection hal...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Cheers guys, I think I'll go at at even 2:00 or just under next time. It's just a distance I don't test often so I didn't want to crash at 3k. When you feel like you're done and can't carry on you're only at 40% of absolute exhaustion. This is something I've heard before from David Goggins, so true.

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Just did a 20:01 5k. It's not something I test, but I had a 20:38 from October that I wanted to update. Pacing was terrible and I ended up sprinting at about 250m at sub 1:40 to try to pull it back under 20 minutes. Time Meters Pace Watts Cal/Hr S/M HR 20:01.3 5,000m 2:00.1 202 994 29 178 4:02.2 1,...
