You start to wonder if there's something wrong with your erg when you can't hit those paces anymore. Is the fan dirty? Are the cords wearing out?

Re: Please comment on my technique - video

If you've ever played (or just tried) Golf you'll know there is "the perfect golf swing" that is universally taught throughout the world with really only very slight and subtle variation. However in practice there are almost as many different golf swings out there as players - including amongst the...

Re: Heart Rate Zone based workouts (BPM, Pulse)

Sorry to hijack this thread but I have some questions about Heart Rate Training, :?: I have been rowing for a couple of years just for general fitness and good cardio workout, average 3-4 times a week generally doing 10k at what I would class as UT1. I recently purchased a HRM and am keen to base al...

Re: Mud season madness 22

Did my 3rd last night, went at a steady pace of 2.17/500 compared to the first 2 done at my usual 2.14/500 can not believe the difference the 3 sec pace makes. Only took a minute longer but seemed so much easier.

Have ordered a HRM so look forward to using that.

According to Erg data my av Drive length was 1.30m Drive speed 1.75m/sec Av Force 95lb looking at these can someone tell me how these compare and what I could improve on. :?: Well done on the PB. I've never given drive speed, and force any thought but I assume that is all governed by how much power...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Nice easy 10k @ 2:18/500 20s/m

First session for 3 weeks after pulling / straining back muscle when doing sprint intervals

I spent the whole of this session waiting for the back to go again, luckily ok .

seems like quite a few injuries about at the moment

Re: Like Starting All Over Again (How Long ?)

Well I have just got back from my first session for 17 odd weeks. It is definitely going to take a while to get back to where I was. Did 8 x 10000m 2r at a steady rate and was really blowing and sweating 😅 buckets.

It’s good to be back roll on Wednesday :D

Re: Like Starting All Over Again (How Long ?)

On a side note, I welcome you back. Our PB times are all eerily similar. Nice for me to see someone else here at our age who is not posting world record times! I know what you mean  :o  17 weeks off = 34 weeks to get back, Really will be like starting again. Can not wait I doubt you're...
