Re: Newbie, not increasing heart rate

What pace are you doing? How far do you row in your 45 minute session? You should be looking at 11K or more in that time based on the very desirable target of 15K in an hour. A "mildly fit, but no athlete" newbie rower is not going to be ANYWHERE near 2:00 pace for an easy row. Especially if he can...

Yes, but it stops counting towards week 53 at April 30. Starting from May 1st, the meters are counted towards week 1 of new season

Re: Any prediabetes success?

True, glucose can be produced via gluconeogenesis, but it is a necessary part of your nutrition and going the gluconeogenesis way is a very roundabout way of getting there. Kind of like instead of buying gasoline at the gas station, you just buy the crude oil and use your own refinery.

Re: Any prediabetes success?

Why would performance athletes have type 2 diabetes? If this was indeed so prevalent, T2D wouldn't be considered a lifestyle disease. I'm sorry, but the quoted doctor sounds like a quack outside his own specialty, which is bariatric surgery. He is a surgeon, not an endocrinologist. Saying things lik...

Re: Started rowing again after a long break- how to get back to where I was?

2K still has a huge aerobic component, you can't sprint for 8 minutes straight. Also, what took years to disappear, won't reappear in days or weeks. Perhaps running some drills (eg pick drills) to get your stroke right would help you put the power down, but a training plan with mostly steady state a...

Interesting, I still have all the options. Does it let you scroll down the list perhaps?

During said 20 years, have you developed a more rotund mid-section perhaps? :P

Polar sports watches also have this feature, called zone lock AFAIK. Perhaps see if Polar Beat app has this functionality?

Re: 3000m challenge

Perhaps compare the 50th percentile times between your age group and hers in LogBook rankings. The % difference in watts should give you a decent ballpark.

A great deal is a giveaway for a scam. C2 doesn't do sales. Anyone selling new C2 rowergs for below C2-s price would be selling at a loss.

Re: PM5 freeze in intervall workout

Very strange. Does it always freeze after second interval, does it freeze during other interval workouts (i.e different rest time/length etc).
Since you're still under warranty, contacting C2 might be a good idea indeed.

Re: Does Model E fit in a Prius Hatchback?

The only difference is height, no? Take it apart into two pieces, fold down rear seats and you're good to go.
I fit my model D into a Skoda Fabia hatchback, Prius should be a bit larger still.

Same here. I remember this same issue last year, not sure if it was the same week but eventually it was corrected.
