Re: New member, data sync questions.
This is most likely a device issue and the battery optimization settings are the culprit. Try to set the optimization to least aggressive setting and set the app to not be killed on the background and see if it works. If all else fails, you can always upload the workouts using the Concept2 app (and ...

Re: which hr monitor
Most people use ERGDATA to save the HR monitor and auto reconnect it. You could use the flash drive for this, and it should work, but then you are missing the huge value of the concept2 log. Some people on this forum keep saying that this doesn't work and should not be attempted, but this has not b...

Re: C2 v Wattbike Pro
Why not go for a smart bike instead? If you have Wattbike money, you could also afford the Tacx Neo Bike, Kickr Bike or Stages SB20 Bike.

Re: Zwift & Garmin Connect/Strava and Ergdata?
If you don't care about having the HR graph on ErgData, you can sync the workouts to C2 Logbook with C2 Utility or use the USB stick.
For me, Garmin does calculate VO2max, but not under cycling, but under All Activities. It does this just through syncing my Zwift workouts to Garmin Connect.

Re: 80/20 What?
The original 80/20 was counting the days, not hours trained. Out of 10 days, 2 of the days were interval days.
If you count time in zones, the distribution is closer to 90/10 or so.

Re: Logging Just Row Sessions?
Just Row sessions are definitely saved even without hitting the Menu button. If you step on a gym erg, take a look at the history - most of the workouts are just random times. People sit on the erg, pull the handle for monitor to turn on, row for a bit and then step off without ever touching the mon...

Re: Logbook - HR columm&total sometimes there sometimes not ?
My advice is to pair the HR strap with PM5. Then the PM5 will push HR data to ErgData as well. No need to pair it to both.
ErgData gets you the graph - and you can see the HR on the graph even though at the data columns it is missing.

Re: Pete Plan for Beginners (BPP)
For sprinting, the stroke rate is fine. Perhaps even a bit lower would be good to get your watts/stroke up e.g getting a stronger stroke. Your pacing is a bit off though. Your 5k pace (or the distance piece - in BPP these distance sessions are not meant as a testing of your best time for a ranking p...

Re: Cheapest Garmin watch that does Power?
Why record with Garmin instead of having LogBook sync activities to Garmin? Sure, you lose the training effect and cycling VO2max but Vivoactive doesn't support it anyway. If you go for Forerunner or something, you have to dual record if you still want to use LogBook. And for cycling, a Garmin cycli...

1. Set up the intervals on the PM5 and they will show properly in LogBook.

Re: Pace guides for workouts
At your level finding a coach is probably your best bet. Unless you are freakishly talented or have a serious aerobic base from a different sport, you are probably rowing a whole lot to get to where you are and stay there. There are probably only few people that can touch your times in this forum an...

What's wrong with 130 DF? Also at one post you're saying he should go long and slow and in another that he should be doing his long rows at 200W. Come on man.

Re: Rate my rowing routine - feedback appreciated
I disagree with Carl about SS heart rate. 130 is pretty much bang on where you want to be. No need to race your easy rows. The pace will come down eventually with the heart rate at the same place. I do my easy rows at around 130bpm with max HR of ~192 and usually go up to high 180s at interval sessi...

Re: 2 Simple questions
Enjoy the process, man. Some must have stuff is: 1) getting ErgData on the phone for some extra data and HR and power graph on LogBook, 2) even if you have a training plan, take a look at Pete's Plan for beginners and the full plan (https://thepeteplan.wordpress.com/the-pete-plan/) Pete Plan is kind...
