BikeErg + Apple TV (Zwift)?
Not sure if this is possible but I’d like to be able to use my BikeErg with an Apple TV to run Zwift. Does anyone have that working? If so how do you connect the BikeErg to your AppleTV? Ideally I’d like to connect my heart rate monitor to the PM5 via Ant+ and the PM5 to my iPhone running ErgData (t...

Re: BikeErg & Apps
I have used both Zwift and The Sufferfest with my BikeErg connected on my Windows laptop with ANT+. Both work great, although I personally prefer The Sufferfest and ended up purchasing their 1 year subscription.

Re: BikeErg and Zwift connection question
As a follow-up, in addition to Zwift, I've successfully been using TheSufferFest over the past week as well. I think I actually prefer Sufferfest as it seems to be more geared around training videos vs social riding. After you complete their fitness test (Full Frontal), the videos are tuned to your ...

Re: BikeErg and Zwift connection question
Thanks Dave. Yes I picked up an ANT+ USB dongle for my PC today and all is perfect - Ergdata is running on my iPhone 8 via Bluetooth, my Polar OH1+ heart rate monitor is connected via ANT+ and is seen in both Ergdata and on the PM5. And I now have Zwift running on my laptop via the ANT+ dongle. Hear...

Re: BikeErg and Zwift connection question
I too am trying to get this to work but am running into the following issues - any suggestions would be most appreciated … I want to run Ergdata on my iOS device (iPhone or ipad) to get automatic syncing to the logbook. I'd like to run Zwift on the same device. I can successfully connect Ergdata on ...

Re: Polar OH1 heart rate monitor and PM5
Great article that you provided Greg!! I purchased the OH1 and have successfully used it with my rower and BikeErg in conjunction with my iPhone and both the ErgData app as well as the Polar Beat app. I’ve compared accuracy with my old heart straps and there is excellent correlation. Overall I’m ver...

BikeErg Ranked Workouts
Hello, I have just purchased a BikeErg and have completed a couple of workouts (awesome product by the way!). Any thoughts if it might it be possible to add a 10 km distance to the ranked workout list? It seems to be an awfully big gap between 4km and 40km ... A 10km would map well with the 5km rowi...

Re: do we need a heart rate monitor for sure while rowing?
Greg,
Were you able to compare your OH1 to a chest strap (something like the Polar H10)?
I'm trying to decide between the Polar H10 or the OH1 as my wrist base Garmin Vivoactive 3 performs very poorly while rowing …
Thanks in advance,
Gary

Re: Polar OH1 heart rate monitor and PM5
Do you find the OH1 to be accurate? I've been using my Garmin VivoActive 3 but it is very unreliable for rowing. It takes forever for my heart rate to rise on the watch even though I know it is pounding!! Thus I'm trying to decide between the Polar H10 strap or this Polar OH1 monitor. Thanks in adva...

Mixed Rower / BikeErg Training Plan?
I have a Model D rower which I really like and have just purchased a BikeErg. I am hoping to use both to improve my fitness level and lose 25 lbs. Can anyone point me to a general training plan that mixes both devices? Ie. row one day, bike another ... Could I use the beginner Pete training plan but...

Buy a BikeErg now or wait for new version?
I would like to purchase a BikeErg to complement my Model C rower.
It seems the BikeErg was released about a year and a half ago. Any guesses when an updated version will be released?
Should I buy now or wait a few months for a possible new version?
Thanks in advance,
Gary

Re: Rowing Modification - Toe Surgery
Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll try wrapping a towel around the rail as a front stop as suggested and see how that goes. I’m not particularly concerned about power / pace time as I just want to be able to get some basic exercise in during this recovery period and the front stop idea might do the tr...
