Re: Technique Critique

In terms of slowing it down, is it optimal to be doing efforts of 30 mins plus? And what’s an ideal stroke rate? 20? I have been using damper setting 1 for my steady/easy efforts. Is there any place for longer intervals? Ie 500m or 1k? As a former runner I’m well versed in the idea of steady distanc...

Not bad, given that style. How long ago, at what rating? Could do better now no doubt. Rating? Not sur...

Re: Technique Critique

Lots to think about everyone. Have looked at some Of the videos and will try to take everything on board. I’m very keen to get into this sport in a big way but understand the foundations need to be there. The big issue I think I have is flexibility. Can a tone recommend a stretching sequence? And is...

Re: Technique Critique

You are both spot on, flexibility is an issue for me. Having said that it’s improved massively over the last 4-6 weeks. Cheers!

Technique Critique

I’m a fairly new rower and would like some feedback on my technique/stroke. This was the last rep of a 15 x 200m workout. High stroke rate and effort. I can record a different video/angle with different effort levels if necessary.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Did the 8 x 500m yesterday, first time I have done intervals anywhere near that length. I averaged 2:12 for the 500m. Was fairly pleased but feel I could have gone harder, however I wanted to complete the session so didn't go all out. It's also my longest ever actual row, at just over 8km. Today wi...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

I am veery new to this but I think I will use this plan to get some structure to what I am doing. I am a runner, but I keep getting injured. I really lack strength and think some cross training is required. I also play golf. This morning I did a 2k time trial in 9:14. It felt ok, I warmed up with 2k...
