Re: Neck Pain - SkiErg

Has anyone encountered neck pain using the SkiErg? Note: I only have about 500k total meters on the ski with a little over 300k since starting the BPP (beginning Pete Plan). Assuming you don't have an underlying condition (and the usual "I'm not a medical professional" caveats apply), I'd suggest t...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Session 2 - Weights...with Martins help I have a little plan of attack and this is the first session... Did all that in 25mins.....should I be resting more between sets? Dog walk now Try to resist the temptation to use weights as additional conditioning. Give yourself plenty of rest. I have wasted ...

Re: How to make it easier?

By and large, leave the damper setting out of it. Pick a setting that works for you, and use that for all pieces (except, perhaps 500m and 1' TTs). I often row at r16, although some find that too slow. If you ever find yourself interested in the wolverine plan, you'll be doing a lot of r16 and r18 s...

Re: watts per stroke vs stroke rate for max efforts

Interesting data Nick. Without venturing any sort of helpful answer (Martin and Cam will obviously be more useful than me on this topic) I think that none are at an excessive SR. 22 is too low for a 5k pb and was leaning too much on power target than fitness. The SR for the other pieces also look a...

Re: Question's about sub 7 and look at current training

I would like to try doing a 2k but don't really want to interrupt my current training. I just came back from being sick followed by a 5 day training camp OTW which resulted in a muddled up training schedule. I'm just trying to get back on track but might have to end up doing a quick test just to se...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

Thanks guys! B) If I manage a new pb I will keep „bragging“ here. Some extra motivation besides just knowing what you did. Well done on the pb. From your description (no prep, just basically a "see how this goes"), I'd guess you would be sub 7.10 and probably not be far off 7 minutes flat right now...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

Sorry, this is for the bike erg... Pb'd my 100k today. Managed to hit my goal of the fastest 100k recorded on the erg. 2:48:28.6 / 1:41.0 average split / 339 avg watts. Mission accomplished, and now I can get back to the rower😁 Absurdly good. So this is a WR? You need to get yourself on the skierg....

Re: Questions about weightloss workoutplan from Concept2 trainingsbook

I would guess that you cycle through L-M-H each phase so the idea would be that there's a small deload before building up again. So an L would be easier than the H that immediately preceded it, but harder than the previous L. However, this doesn't seem to have been done with this programme. Each wee...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

My back's been sore (ridiculous self-inflicted injury) so I decided to decrease weight and increase volume in today's gym session. Instead of 5 sets of 5 for Deadlifts and front squats, I did 5 sets of 10 at about 60% instead of about 80%. Interesting session... I've had to spend the rest of the da...
