How come there is no weight category for the skierg?

Surely the same categories would have been perfect on the skierg. Means I’ll just never have a decent score but if there were categories then I would. It also would make sense as in real skiing bodyweight would definitely come into consideration. Same with cycling.

Re: Wrist pain!!

My wrist doesn't like sheering forces on it so the skierg sometimes aggravates it. I use a wrist wrap (not wrist strap) that would normally be used for bench press. I take it off during rest periods. The ones I use are old thin and flimsy which is actually ideal as they dont over support. I had a qu...

Re: Back Pain

Get to a physio and have them check your hinge movement and if you have pelvic tilt. Could be as simple as a; stretch, exercise or training cue.

What bodytype is best suited for the skierg?

The erg rowing machine favours taller and arguably heavier individuals, how about the skierg? Typically what would the anatomy be like for the top times/disciplines? Excluding stuff like Eddie Halls 100m sprint.

Whats more important, hr or pace?

I'm helping a friend out with his rowing. I've read several books on it. I have him following a protocol where you test a 2k and then base training numbers from that. Suggested zones are as follows. Current 2k /// UT2 /// UT1 /// AT /// TR /// AN 07:40 /// 2:13.0 /// 2:09.0 /// 2:01.0 /// ≤1:55.0 //...

Re: Can you connect a usb-c to the pm3?

You can't use USB-C. You need a USB-A to USB-B printer cable with an OTG adapter for your phone. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gritin-Adapter-Pack-Male-Female/dp/B081S27N43 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Neekeons-External-Printers-Scanners-Peripherals/dp/B094FXQHZJ Does it have to be a proprietary printer cab...

Can you connect a usb-c to the pm3?

Can you connect a usb-c to the pm3?

I bought a cable on ebay with usb-a (printer cable) on one end and a usb-c on the other, the ones found on smartphones. Will with work or will it need to be a propretory cable? PM3 is updated if that makes a difference.

Thanks

Re: Is there an app that give hr alerts?

The app FITIV allows me to set audio alerts for hr limits if anyone else was interested. Its a subscruption model though at £25 per year. I got the free week first to see if its going to do the job.

Re: Is there an app that give hr alerts?

I actually had this setup using the garmin 520 and chest strap but I no longer have that device. You could setup all sorts of alerts. If I cant find an app that does this then I may have to get a garmin again. Ill see if one of the budget ones has this feature.

Does anyone just prefer indoor rowing?

Ive been out on the water a few times now both sculling and sweeping and honestly I just can't be bothered with the faff of going down there, messing about in and out of the water, all the cleaning, the people are great but I just can't be bothered with the social aspect of it and I don't want to re...

Re: Lower back trouble.

Judging from your times, you are probably trying to work too hard in the short pieces. This is risky since if technique is not perfect it will overload the wrong muscle-tendon units and cause damage. Its quite possibly that but also I've not renewed my longer distances times so they're still from w...
