Re: Forum Flyers
I have also been sick since I got back from my vacation a week ago. Great trip to Brazil, terrible reentry Gave the CTC a go today and very not happy with it but that’s all I’ve got in me right now.

Re: Forum Flyers
Whoop whoop!!!!, someone with the same thing.....in a nice way. This resulted in me dislocating my hip and trapping the femoral nerve and artery, i thought I was going to be on walking sticks for a while. Holding off for a hip replacement and just doing single leg strength to keep the tear at bay. ...

Re: Forum Flyers
BTW the Terry update is not good at all - the diagnosis a lung cancer called mesothelioma which is incurable. It is common here in Oz and related to exposure to asbestos. Usually the time between exposure and disease is decades - 40/50 years is the average. Often those in the building trades, those...

Re: Forum Flyers
This was such a frustrating challenge! I started and somehow got 21 spm on the second interval so had to restart. Then I managed under 1 min for each interval except the fifth, when I got distracted by a spider and didn't get started until a second after the rest ended  Not sure if I'll have t...

And took off one second B). Pace 2:06.7. Sorry Sheena! Great job!! I kept procrastinating all month ...

Re: Forum Flyers
Hey Sheena, or do I have to say Dr Sheena? :D It's always good to see someone within reach. This month I won't fight back. Although I'm feeling better my husband told me I'm not allowed to do any rowing training at the moment. Well I have to admit that he's right  I did finish so technically a...

Re: Forum Flyers
With 3 more rowers we can get a fourth boat off the dock. Massively stressed scrambling for my dissertation defense in a few days, but I finally made it to the May challenge today and... all the adrenaline and cortisol and anxiety (not to mention all the sitting and lack of physical activity recent...

Re: Forum Flyers
Oh no, sorry to see you go Elizabeth! You're an incredible rower, excited to see what you do moving forward! I thought I would get this month's CTC out of the way while already sweaty and tired after playing tennis for 2 hours, not realizing that we are now missing our top female rower! I'll see if ...

A full recap of the marathon is in the endurance thread in the training forum. Here's the session, and I did indeed end with a full-out sprint - https://log.concept2.com/profile/1558013/log/68739755 This is absolutely crazy! Congratulations! Really interesting what you posted about the strong fan h...

Re: Forum Flyers
I kept putting off the June CTC until I almost forgot! First time on the erg since the May CTC so not loving my time but it was actually a pleasant row so maybe I'll get my act together and row a couple times a week moving forward  Another suggestion for August (which may be a little cruel): 2 ...

Re: Forum Flyers
In other news, I'll be doing a 24h solo row this weekend. Apart from a little cash being rounded up to help fund cancer research, I'm starting to regret it already :D Congratulations on your 24h solo row--250706m! Quite an accomplishment! WOW that's incredible! Great job! Do you have a link...

Re: Forum Flyers
Hi all! I have not totally disappeared, but yes, a health flare up has stopped me from doing much. But I got a CTC entry in there and I am planning to get back on the erg a little more regularly now that the physical fatigue is starting to ease and excited to get a little competitive again :D . Hopi...

Re: Forum Flyers
Love seeing the sibling rivalry! My older son Kyle rowed again...shaved off another 7 seconds, with I think puts it out of reach. My younger son Josh is going to give it one more try tomorrow. I am facing reality, and admitting defeat...although also very much love watching the sibling rivalry :-) ...
