There seems to be a ‘standard technique’ for the Rowerg, which I suppose over time has proved to be the most effective. From this the same advice goes out to newbies - shins vertical, don’t over compress, hinge at the hips, sit tall, 11-1 o’clock, nice power curve etc. Watching rowers at the World ...

I'm an orthopaedic surgeon-rower who does hip replacements. There's not much I can imagine doing with the position of the cup really specific to rowing. Physiologically the cup is tilted laterally about 45 degrees and anteriorly (anteverted) about 15 degrees and that's where you want it. The risk wi...
