Yes, I have to change some settings to eliminate the redundant workouts.
On my iPhone, Settings —> Health —> Data Access & Devices —> ErgData —> Turn off all 5 under the ALLOW “ERGDATA” TO WRITE DATA section, and below that, under the ALLOW “ERGDATA” TO WRITE DATA SECTION, I turned on Weight.

Re: Recommended gloves for erg?
When I first started rowing, I also suffered from blisters on the palm of my hands right below the base of my fingers. I bought a pair of these rowing gloves, which allowed me to continue to row while my hands healed up. https://www.scullinggear.com/rowing-sculling-gloves-by-thecrewstop-a-pair-of-gl...

Re: ADVISES on PM5
It feels rather odd for me to be the one to welcome you to this Forum, as I am still relatively new here myself. I think that you can get the answers to all of your questions at this web site: https://www.concept2.com/service/monitors/pm5/how-to-use In addition to using the USB flash drive, you will...

What's new with PM5 firmware v167 ?
ErgData on my iPhone this morning told me that my PM5 had a firmware update available (to v167).
Does anyone here know what's new/improved with this version? I don't see it described here:

Re: Ergdata Bluetooth Connect Gone w/ iOS 13
As a "security feature" once you update to iOS13, Apple makes you aware of how many apps and devices are using the Bluetooth connection on your iPhone (and iPad) by asking your permission for each and every app and device when you open them for the first time. When I first wanted to connect my PM5 t...

Re: Is Apple watch worth it for rowing?
I have an Apple Watch 4 that I wear while I'm rowing on my Concept2 Model D, and I can't tell you whether it is "worth it" or not, but I can tell you some information that might help you decide that for yourself. I use a Garmin chest strap that connects to the PM5, which is connected to my iPhone ru...

Re: Starting a profile for my grandson.
Brian, I have taken a screenshot of what I see when I click on the link that I provided, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to attach or embed that screenshot into this response. It does not show my profile photo, and it definitely has a "Sign Up" link, just to the right of the Login bu...

Re: Starting a profile for my grandson.
Ok, but I did think it sensible not to use his proper surname (which is different to mine as he is my daughter's son) on the profile, as COPPA insists, for the places that you mention. That still leaves me shy of the link which will enable me to set up his profile. Can you guide me to that? Maybe I...

Re: How long should a PM5 take to turn off?
OK, so there is something to the wireless connection to the ErgData app on my iPad that prevents the PM5 from turning off (at least on my new unit). When I completed this morning's workout on the rower, I waited more then 6 seconds (while I removed my gloves, took off my Garmin HRM, and took a drink...

Re: How long should a PM5 take to turn off?
mickyduck,
That very well might be the case for me as well. I will test that out after my workout tomorrow morning. I haven't been closing the ErgData app on my iPad when I finish my rowing workout and move over to my recumbent bike.

Re: How long should a PM5 take to turn off?
Citroen,
Well, thank you so much!
My USB flash drive definitely does not provide power (it is a USB Device, not a Master).
But your suggestion to press [MENU] for times worked perfectly.
Thanks!
Gregg

How long should a PM5 take to turn off?
I have a new rower with a new PM5 monitor. I updated the firmware to v166, and I have a USB flash drive setup, and ErgData on my iPad. Everything is working exactly as expected, except that after I complete a workout, the PM5 doesn’t “power down” for at least 30 minutes, and often for multiple hours...
