Re: Slipped disc and incorrect posture while rowing?
Do you know it's a slipped disc or could it be a strain or muslce tear? I *think* I gave myself a slipped disc about 5 years ago pushing gears that were too big on the bike and it was much sharper pain than the strain I currently have from doing deadlifting. [/quote] I actually heard/felt the...

Re: Slipped disc and incorrect posture while rowing?
It actually a great feeling when they crack it...worth the £40 alone lol. Last i asked my GP, they dont treat common back issues on the NHS, pressumably it would cost them a fortune. But possibly worth asking the GP first. Best of luck with it...and keep moving it, laying down doesnt do it much goo...

Re: Slipped disc and incorrect posture while rowing?
Ive battled with bilateral sciatica on and off since i was 15 and had a rugby accident at school. On the whole i have found rowing benefical to my back pain...i row a little more than 60k a week, i pressume my core and lower back muscle have strengthened and i have more stability in that area. Some...

Re: Slipped disc and incorrect posture while rowing?
Thanks, I don’t row since Saturday plus I made the appointment to see my doctor as well.
I’m going to improve my technique, was just wondering, if anyone had a similar problems?

Slipped disc and incorrect posture while rowing?
Is it related? I started rowing 8 months ago (30 k weekly). On the begging my partner was checking my technique and it it was all brilliant. Eventually, after a month, I started to row when no one was there. Around a month ago, my husband seen me rowing and said I have learnt the wrong technique, I ...

Re: Why I am not loosing weight?
I'm puzzled that you regard yourself as overweight. From the figures you've given, it looks like your BMI is about 23.5-ish i.e. not far off bang in the middle of the 20-25 band that denotes 'healthy weight' for your height. I realise that BMI is an imperfect gauge but using it as a rough indicator...

Re: Why I am not loosing weight?
Thanks.
I will look more closely into my diet.
I was feeling and looking better, when my weight was slightly less than now, that’s the reason I would like to lose some kg.
Thanks for all advice

Re: Why I am not loosing weight?
I don’t eat too much after workout, but I think now the problem is what I eat. You mentioned too much carbs, I checked what food contains carbs and it looks like I eat only carbs ![😱](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/s9e/emoji-assets-twemoji@11.2/dist/svgz/1f631.svgz)
Unfortunately, I don’t have time for long workouts, 25 minutes fits just fine in in my schedule.

Re: Why I am not loosing weight?
My partner says to change the resistance level from 4 to 3 and try to do 5k in the better time. Do you think it’s a good idea?

Why I am not loosing weight?
Hi everyone It’s my 7th week on concept2 model d. I do 5k 5-6 days a week + walking 22k steps 5 days a week. Healthy eating I think. I started 5k with 27:48, now it’s 23:58, so there is a difference. I don’t really look at anything else on monitor, well, maybe expect the calories lol But the weight....

Re: My abs don’t hurt after workout
Hi, Thanks for your reply. We are checking the technique ourselves and it seems my partner does it right, he doesn’t lean back to much. I am thinking now, that maybe I don’t feel my abs, as they are quite strong already- I walk 13 km a day. I hope this is the reason. When he told me about how his ab...

My abs don’t hurt after workout
Hi, I have just purchased the model d. Both, me and my husband using it. We have watched a lot of videos with techniques, etc. , to make sure we do it right. But I don’t feel my abs at all, while my partner says he feels it a lot. We do the same distance 5 k, the difference is he does it in much sho...
