Re: Change of Saddle
I replaced the saddle with a bigger, cushier one I had in my parts collection. The process of changing the saddle is a bit of a pain and if the saddle you use has tall sides, it can be difficult to get the wrench in there to tighten it down. I also replaced the handlebar, which is much easier than r...

Re: 300 lbs Weight Limit
I’m 6’10” and weigh 340 lbs. C2 lists the bikeerg weight limit at 300 lbs. Has anyone over 300 lbs rode the bikeerg or does anyone know anyone over 300 lbs that has rode one? I own a rower and love C2’s quality, but a back injury is forcing me to stop rowing, so I’d like to purchase a bikeerg but t...

Re: 1,000,000 meters done
I reached a million meters today since I started rowing in February. I was 400lbs on December 1 and decided to eat healthier and less to be supportive of my wife who had started dieing on her own. I figured I'd lose some weight but it was not my primary motivation. Near the end of January I was dow...

Re: My Age
I had a DVT (and bilateral PE) in January and once I was fully recovered, I discovered that rowing was painful in the area where the DVT occurred (back of the leg, just above and below the knee, or the worst possible spot for compression while rowing). I know that DVT's can leave permanent damage to...

Re: Not Verified BikeErg Workout.
None of my rides are verified. I wonder if you have to calibrate before in order to have it be "official"? A random sample selection of my rides suggests that all of them are verified and I have not calibrated my bikeerg in hundreds of thousands of meters. Most of my workouts are custom, based on d...

Re: Has anyone ridden both a C2 bikeerg and a Schwinn Airdyne?
I've had my bikeerg since May 28th and so far, it has exceeded my expectations. My fears on the resistance were totally unfounded. At a damper setting of "1", I can't move my legs fast enough to generate any real power and it's much easier than the Airdyne. I'm getting my best times in the 3-5 range...

Calibration?
I got on Concept 2's wait list on April 1st and received my bikeerg today. A large section of the side of the box was crushed pretty good so I was a bit worried, but Concept 2's excellent packing design protected everything and it was in perfect condition. Except one of the two 3" bolts had a solid ...

I agree 100% with Allen and Estragon. I thought Citroen's first post was a big time jerk move and after seeing some of his snarky comments in other posts, I tried to block him but found out he's a mod. Having someone like him as a mod has really made me re-think my participation on this forum.

Re: Rowing after blood clot in leg
I was diagnosed with DVT/PE three months ago and today was the first time I've tried the rower. One week ago my doctor told me that the chances of a DVT breaking off at this point is very miniscule, as all that is likely left is scar tissue and valve damage. Still, my clots were on the back of my le...

Re: Has anyone ridden both a C2 bikeerg and a Schwinn Airdyne?
I had an Airdyne for years but finally got rid of it because I just couldn't get a comfortable fit on it. I'm now considering the Concept 2 bikeerg. I've watched several video reviews and at least one reviewer commented on how quickly it fatigued his legs. I know both the Airdyne and bikeerg use ai...

Monitor goes dark faster than I can read it.
When I go into my PM5 to look at a workout or even to program something, if I don't push a button after a few seconds, the lit screen function turns off and I can't read the monitor. Is there a setting that will allow the monitor to stay lit longer?

Re: Short-term blood glucose effects of rowing
However, requiring people to row longer is a good antidote to the usual misuse of the rower. Most gym rowers i see race the stroke rather than adopt a sustainable controlled rating. We all find the first 1-2 mins of a row feels easy. It is all too easy to push during this and we inevitably end up a...

Re: Short-term blood glucose effects of rowing
No Diabetes expert so I leave that to others, but as for setting PBs, you only get faster when you rest! You should always have at least a day off each week and should not be doing more than 2 hard workouts a week with the others sub-maximal so you are still recovering on those days. 4 x 500 is a s...

Re: Has anyone had their testosterone measured?
If something has gone wrong and your body needs supplemental Testosterone to work correctly, it can be a life changing therapy. If you are just curious or looking for a "boost" don't even think about going there. Yes, I agree, taking exogenous T is not the way to go but I think as we age and any wh...
